Chapter 4

I woke up by the sound of a tune that I love. It was 'creation' by Travis King. I really love that song it's a very relaxing tune. I rubbed my eyes and reached my phone. Maya was calling me. I answered it.

"Hello?"

"Naksh good morning, It's for wakey wakey" Maya said

"Its 6:00am and school starts at 8:40am?"

"Don't tell you forgot?"

"Forgot what?" I replied

"Oh my holy doughnuts! Naksh remember when Mr Stevens was talking about the science event that is happening today, this morning in our school. Me and Rosie are going to go and I'm pretty sure you said you were going to go as well." She said

"Oh my gosh how can I forgot. Omg you're my saviour thanks for calling! I said closing my eyes.

"No probs. I was actually calling you to remind you that I'm going to pick you in 30min so hurry up!" She said

"OK I will be ready in time, thanks though"

"No problem, I'll see you in a bit then"

"Bye" I said

I hung up and went to the bathroom to get ready.

I started of having a quick shower, after that was done I started to brush my teeth. I took out some blue jeans and a red top. Then I wore my white trainers. I didn't really care so much about the latest fashion or the new trends. Just wore what came out my wardrobe. Then I brushed my hair and putted it in a messy bun. I didn't wear makeup because I don't wear makeup. I'm just a simple ordinary girl. I got my black jacket and my school bag and went downstairs to have some breakfast. I made toast for myself and had a glass of orange juice. Once I was done with my breakfast I heard someone rang my house door. Just in time Maya came.

I opened the door and notice Maya was standing outside my door.

"Hi" I said

"Hey, ready?"

"Yup" I replied

I locked the door and got into Maya car. I also noticed Rosie sitting in the car waving. I waved back at her.

"Hey Naksh" Rosie said

"Heyyy"

I sat in the car and wore my seatbelt.

Then I realized I totally forgot to tell my dad why I went early to school. So he doesn't freak out I messaged him. On the way to school me, Maya and Rosie were just talking about random things. 15mintues later I got message from dad and he just said ok. The message actually relieved me. I felt calmer now that I told my dad where I was.

Once we arrived to our school. We headed to the main hall where the science event was taking place. All what's going to be happening is that they are going to talk about different careers in science and they are going to show us cool experiments that would actually blow our minds. You may think this would be boring, but for me it's compelling.

The teachers told us to take some refreshments, then take a seat and wait for Mr Eldridge (the scientist) which is going to come a bit later. All three of us took an Oreo cookie and a carton of juice. Then we went to the hall to sit down and wait for the presentation to happen.

Maya and Rosie were talking about plants where I was just looking at how many people came. They were actually a lot of people. Suddenly I noticed Mason. It's really funny how I always notice him. He was talking to his friends. I started looking at his outfit. He was wearing a white shirt with a dark blue blazer and some black trousers. He looked pretty good to be honest.
