"I miss you." She whispered, not looking into his brown eyes.
He ran a hand through his dark hair. He hadn't heard anything that made him feel like he was important in a long long time. He knew that he missed her too. He wanted her in ways no best friend was supposed to want her.
But she didn't want him that way. So what was he supposed to say? That he missed her too? Because he did, a lot. However, he missed her more than she ever has and he couldn't deal with the way they were going anymore, he couldn't deal with the pain of waiting.
He took a deep breath. "I know." He said. Every word painfully pushed through his mouth. "But I don't miss you. Just go back to him. I don't want you here okay?"
And he watched her as she walked away with tears on her face knowing that the person he loved was never going to forgive him for what he just did.
