A short, emotional story about what it feels like to just... float. It follows a girl, or honestly just anyone, who feels out of place and overwhelmed by her own thoughts. I have always wanted to write a book but I seem to never follow through so I just create little excerpts that I have no idea what to do with. So I'm going to put them here. The older I become, the more I recognize the value of watering my flowers and tending to the garden of my soul. There will always be aspects of life which hurt or harm us, but the very nature of life is balance, and thus, for every drought, the rain will eventually fall upon us again. For each parasite, a new place within will be born. Every step leads to the next. May I stay confident in knowing I planted my seeds mindfully, and will in turn, reap what I have sown.

They say this city never sleeps, but that's a lie. It sleeps with its eyes open-watching, calculating, forgetting. Here, power doesn't shout; it whispers through sealed deals and stained hands. Love is not forbidden, just irrelevant. People learn early: care too much, and you become the weakness someone else exploits. And then there was her-calm, unreadable, almost empty. And him-trained to win in a world where losing meant disappearing. They should have never noticed each other. But indifference, in a place like this, doesn't stay harmless for long.
