My world is darkness and pain. My eyes are unable to make out anything. Making me wonder, for a fleeting moment, whether or not they were even open. There is nothing to smell or hear either. Moving my hand cautiously, I feel nothing around me at all. Not even under me. Once I realize this, the dull throb of displeasure from before, makes itself known tenfold. I scream in agony, but nothing from my throat makes a sound. The pain is everywhere. Not only outside my body but inside as well. My pale skin has millions of leeches burrowing into it. Leaving searing burns of torment in their wake never leaving, intensifying by the moment. The inside off my body is filled with an excruciating amount of double sided daggers, turning my insides to ribbons. They seem to be moving on their own destroying me from the inside out.

I am in here for me to be down to 327. For the second time. The pain, a constant thing I learned how to push back in the time I was here, is hidden by the counting. I keep my sanity by counting backwards by 7's starting from one thousand. 320...313...306... 299. I take a mental breath, not giving myself the time to think about anything else or the pain would come back. I mouth the numbers along with my mental incantation. 292...285...278...271...26-.

"Cla...y....lary" I stutter in my silent counting as a genderless voice enters the void i'm in. I try to look around to see if there is anyone around me anyone at all. But just like before there is nothing to see. Am I actually going Insane? I shake my head, dispersing the disturbing thought, and go back to my counting. 264...257...220...213...206...19-.

"Clary!" The urgent voice, it sounds like it would belong to a young male. Why are they calling me? I try to reply but still nothing comes out. I silently groan in frustration. Everything is silent here. "Clary!" I need to get to that voice. They don't sound happy and for some reason, that makes me sad. As I try to talk again my will increasing, I notice my body slowly becoming heavier, almost as if I were a ghost and was solidizing. The weightlessness that had been a constant with the pain began to leave. The dull throbbing of agony still present, but I'm too distracted to notice. Other sounds begin to filter past in the darkness, as my body grows heavier. "Clary." The word, my name, is filled with recognition, defeat. I...Need...Voice. My thoughts become slurred as I fall asleep. I don't even have a fighting chance to stay awake.

"Maybe...brother...help...head" A voice says. It's a familiar female voice, that wakes me up. After hearing the girl's voice, I am able to smell anesthetics and medicine. Which in turn indicate i'm in a hospital of some sort, which can't be right because I don't hear any of the bustling doctors and beeping of heart monitors the make the playlist of the hospitals background music. I frown. Where am I?

"It's my faul- Look! She moved!." A familiar man's voice exclaims. I try to place were I had the voice before and I realize that was the same voice as the one that I heard when I was there. Next thing I know there is a weight in my hand. I try to curl my fingers around it. "Clary? Can you hear me? Clary!" The male voice excitedly calls out. "Alec! Izzy! Simon! She moved!" At the sound of the males calling I am greeted to the sound of footsteps.

"What is she alright?" Says a new male voice.

"Is she awake?" A voice asks. Simon! Finally a voice I know. I need to see him. I will my eyes to open and am met with the glare of the white light placed above where I'm lying. I close my eyes quickly again groaning at the irritation the light presented to my eyes. I slowly reopen my eye to let my eyes adjust to the small amounts off bright lights I allow them. After getting them a little used to the light, an angelic male face hides the bright light from my sensitive eyes. I blink a couple times taking a moment to focus on the face.

"Clary? Are you ok?" One of the voices from before is exhaled from the boys

pink lips. I take a moment to swallow before replying.
