Niomi's POV:

When we finish preparing our dinner, pork stir-fry over rice, we do the dishes together, then we get ready to turn in. As Killian is about to lay down on the couch, I grab his arm, stopping him from plopping down.

"Come here." I say, pulling his arm with me. I go down the hallway, and right across from my room, I open the door there.

I push open the door and lead him inside the guest room. I've changed the sheets from the girl-ish ones that were on it to some dark, more neutral colored one's. I even took down the few pictures that were in there, because they were pictures of me when I was younger, and he didn't need to be staring at that as he went to sleep.

"Ta-da!" I say as he looks around. He sits on the edge of the bed, and looks around some more.

"I figured you didn't want to sleep on that couch another night. And, since you don't have a place of your own, and this room is going to waste, you can have it. For as long as you want." I add, and he looks at me finally and gives me a toothy grin.

"It's great. Thank you." He says, laying back on the bed, his legs hanging off the side.

"Well, I'm going to get ready for bed. I have some papers to fill out, so just ignore me if I start muttering to myself." I say, and he smiles, his eyes closed as he nods.

I walk out of the room, and go across the hall to my room. If I leave my door open, I can see his right foot from my bed. I quickly clear my head and sit down at my desk.

As I take out the bills that have to be payed this month, I start doing the deductions in my head, but after about an hour of writing checks and sealing envelopes, I feel my eyelids dropping. Since It's the 26th of November, I still have a few days before all my bills are due.

I close the binder that holds all my files and set it back on it's respected shelf. I walk to the bathroom, to brush my teeth and wash my face, and while I'm at it, pull my hair into a messy bun. As I finish my nightly routine, I flip on the nightlight in the bathroom, so you can find it in the dark, and turn off the overhead light.

I pad back to my room, and I notice that Killian still has his light on when I approach, so I poke my head in, and he's asleep, not fully covered by the blankets, and he left his light on. I sigh, then walk over to him, pull the sheets and the comforter up to his chest, then click off his bedside lamp.

I head to the door, and I turn to look at him one last time. I smile at his peaceful state, then whisper a goodnight, and close the door.

I go into my room, climb into bed, and flip off my own light.

Time for a long winter's nap.

~The Next Morning~

When I wake up, it's almost nine o'clock, so I get up and get ready for the day. I slip on some jeans, a over sized sweater, and some Converse, then head down the hall to the bathroom. My hair is a mess, but I leave it until my makeup is sorted out. I go pretty natural, then brush my hair out of the nest that it's become overnight.

I fishtail braid it to my left shoulder, then flip the nightlight in the bathroom off, along with the mirror lights. I walk to the kitchen to find a sleepy looking Killian leaning against the counter, sipping a cup of coffee.

"Hey, you learned to use the coffee maker, good for you!" I say cheerily, opening the fridge to search for food. He snorts, then takes another swig of the black liquid.

"No, it was here when I woke up. And good morning to you, too." he says, motioning to the half-full coffee pot.

"Oh, right, I had it on auto timer. Sorry, good morning. I just thought you were getting the knack for my house, is all." I say with a smirk, pulling a tub of yogurt out of the fridge. I open it and take a sniff, and it smells fine, so I tale a few bites with a spoon.

"Can you grab me a mug?" I ask, pointing to the coffee. He nods and reaches up in one of the cabinets, to a shelf that I always have trouble reaching. He pours some coffee in it, then adds two scoops of sugar from the jar.

He hands it over, and I put some vanilla coffee creamer in it, then take a sip.

"Well, what are our plans for today?" Killian asks, finishing his mug of coffee.

"We're gonna buy you some clothes today!" I exclaim, and he visibly deflates a bit. I laugh, then punch him in the arm.

"It's gonna be fun, just you wait!" I say, then explain the plan of action.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As we enter the first store, I'm already on the look out for things Killian would look good in.  He wanders around, occasionally looking at something. I grab a couple dress shirts, then some dress pants, nice shoes, and finally, just so we could match, a black leather jacket.
I give him everything and push him into the dressing rooms, and I go in search of some other things, like everyday shirts and jeans. He only showed up with two shirts, and a pair of jeans, so we have to get him something.
After a couple minutes of looking, I hear a sharp whistle from the back of the store, and I see Killian poking his head around the wall the separates the dressing rooms from the rest of the store. I hurry back, as I'm eager to see what he looks like in the clothes I picked out.
As I step behind the curtain of his small stall, he turns in a circle and I'm amazed. He's wearing some black jeans, which actually look really good with the black shirt with the red shimmers. But what really brings it all together is the leather jacket, which he put on over the shirt.
"I love it! It's perfect for the party!" I say, and he smiles, then turns back to the mirror, looking at the clothe son him.
"I like it, too. It's great." he says, and then he shoes me out, so he can try on some of the jeans and casual shirts I brought in. I take the other nice clothes out, and hang them on the return rack, except for one pair of black dress pants and a white dress shirt. They're his size, so I'm going to get them now and give them as a gift at some point.
As I walk up to the counter to leave them with the cashier, I spot a nice blazer that will go nicely with the shirt and pants, so I grab one of those, too.
I leave the items with the lady at the counter, and she agrees to add them with the others and slip them in the bag, so Killian won't notice.
I head back to the dressing rooms, just as Killian comes out with one of the casual outfits on. He stands in front of the bigger mirror and turns every which way, and I laugh.
"Show off. Do you like them?" I ask, and he nods.
"Good, so do I."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

After another hour of shopping, we finally make it back to the apartment. I trudge through the door as Killian hold sit open, and I set my few bags, along with a few of Killian's, on the floor by the door.

"Okay, I need to put this stuff away, and you need to hang up all your clothes before they wrinkle. Go!" I yell, grabbing my bag, along with the bag with the suit, and run to my room.

I hear Killian behind me, and he slams the door to his room. I laugh, then start removing the things I got from their bags. We stopped at Bath and Body Works, and I got one of their Christmas lotions, and some new perfume, so I set the lotion on my desk, then drop the perfume in my basket in the bathroom.

I also take the suit out of it's bag, put it on a hanger, and bury it between some of my clothes in the back of my closet. He won't find it there.
