It's an hour or so before I attend dinner,im looking over the railing, as Rose comes to stand beside me, she says thank you, I say welcome. We have an odd conversation..
Rose:"Teach me how to be like a man."
Jack:"And chew tobacco like a man."
Rose:"And spit like a man"
We're spitting over the rail, as I teach Rose how to spit, I didn't notice her mother.. Rose's mother calmly clears her throat and Rose taps my on the arm, then I look back and swallow my spit, as you can hear the glub sound. Rose says
"Mother, I'd like you to meet Jack Dawson, the one who saved me." Rose's mother looks like at me.. like I'm a bug. but she replys "Charmed too meet you my name is Ruth." as they walk away with Rose, expect Molly Brown. Molly says to me, "aren't you going to get ready for dinner?" I reply,
"I am." Molly says "oh no, come with me." I go with Molly, she puts me in a suit that is a bit small, Molly says "you shine like a new penny" as we go to dinner, I wait at the bottom of the stairs for Rose, I look at the others to see how they present themselves. I copy them, I look up the stairs and I see Rose, I take her hand and kiss it gently. We walk together and we sit at the table, I see a lot of spoons and forks, I never used before. Dinner went by fast, as I leave I kiss Rose's hand and I leave a note in her hand too meet me at the clock.
