~Part -six~

I walked,no I ran. Scared of being caught by that woman again,I was startled when I saw her running towards me.

"Wait! Miss, you forgot your book!"

She shouted from behind. That's when I realized that I haven't brought my book with me from the library. I slowed my pace down and I faced her. She was sweaty, this girl ain't sporty that much.

"Here."

She handed me the book,or shall I say 'My' book. I grabbed it quickly and planned to run again but she stopped me.

"Wait,I haven't known your name yet."

"I-I don't have any."

I managed to let go of her grip and ran again.

"What?!"

I heard her say before I went out of the building.

When I got home,I plopped myself to my bouncy bed and decided to have a cat nap. I sure did have a really stressful day,I got up upon remembering that the retreat will be next week and I need to prepare my things up. I outstretched my hand to reach the book the librarian gave me and when I did it sled off my hand causing a page of it to tore apart. I picked it up and a small old white square paper fell off the book. As usual,it has a note written.

"Do the things I want you to and you will live."

What is this? I can't fathom why I am receiving this notes for the past few weeks? Is this his work? I don't believe in ghost but I also don't believe that he's dead. I finished what I started and went out for a dinner. Mom is sleeping, beauty rest I guess. She's always like that, sometimes I feel like she's not my mom, more of like sister to me. I swung open the fridge and grabbed an open can of tuna and went on to heat it up. After eating dinner I went out for a jog. It's not dark yet anyway. I shouted from downstairs, not hoping that my mom will hear it.
While jogging I feel the cold breeze brush against my skin. I closed my eyes to feel the peace I'm having right now. I turned off my earphone wanting to hear to sound of nature, but I was dismayed for I did not hear any sound of birds chirping or trees swaying for all I hear was footsteps. I don't know whats with my ear but it concentrated on the footsteps I hear behind me. It got closer and I ran faster, I ran as if someone is following me although I feel like it. I reached the house's door and grabbed quickly the knob and went directly in. It was a minute later when I decided to take a peak at the window hoping to see someone out there. Though I did not see any figure but my peripheral vision saw at least a silhouette of a man behind the oak tree near our house. I looked there and it was nothing, probably one of my imaginations. I started to feel sleepy so I went up but just I had tool three steps I heard a monotonous voice chuckling, giving me goosebumps and shivers. I went upstairs quickly and locked all doors. Just as when I was about to plop into bed,I noticed another square white paper stick on my window pane outside. I reached for it and in crimson colored ink was written "One door leads to freedom, the other leads to nothing."

Another note, funny. This is not a good joke anymore. As usual,I kept it in the book where the others are kept too and after a while, had a good night's sleep.
