Annamarie
"The Mafia? Seriously? The Mafia." To be honest, my hairs stood on end at the thought of the Mafia tracking us down. It just didn't make sense. Of all the people in the world you could track down, why us?
"Alright. We have an idea on who did it, but for every crime, there's a motive. No matter how stupid the motive is, it's present.", I said, calmly.
Mum's head was spinning.
"But Justin? Apart of the Mafia? That doesn't make sense...", she said.
"But it does. He followed the EXACT steps of getting others to do what you want when you're a cult member.", Scarlett pointed out.
"Okay, so Justin picked up a copy of 'Cult Basics for Dummies' at the local Barnes and Noble, but there's still no motive; no reason to do all of this in the first place.", I replied.
We sat there for a while, thinking of a good motive, when Scarlett thought of something.
"What if he's not doing it for himself, but rather a mob boss?" This was an excellent point.
"Then why's the mob boss doing it?"
We sat there for a little while, wondering what, and more importantly why was it happening. Then, Mum started crying.
"I just want to go home...", she sobbed.
"Then let's go. We discuss this at home.", I said, then remembered why we hadn't left before.
We had to find a motive.
