Annamarie

I woke up in a daze at the Northwestern hospital. Scarlett had tear stains and her famous thinking look.
"What're so concerned about? You didn't think I'd die that easily, right?", I said, smiling. She looked up at me and smiled. Tears welled in her eyes as she pulled me in for a tight hug. We stayed there for a little while before I asked, "Where's Mum?"
She suddenly looked angry about something. "At home. Doing what she's always forced to. With Justin."
I instantly knew what she meant. Justin was basically Christian Grey from '50 Shades of Grey' and every pervert on the planet combined. If that doesn't tell you what you need to know, I don't know what will.
Just then, Mum came bursting through the door, tired and crying.
"We're leaving. Now. No questions asked.", she said in between sobs. She started to pick me up bridal-style, when I retaliated.
"Why? What happened that was so bad that you have to take me from the hospital?", I said, upset that she wasn't there when I came to.
"You don't understand-"
"Really? I don't? You were with Him, having a jolly time, instead of being here. Now you want us back so you two can have more fun!!", I snapped. You can blame my hot-headedness, or my medicine, but it was my emotions for my outrage.
"No. In fact, I want us to get out of the city; the state; no, the country! How does living in the UK sound?" Mum's speech was getting faster and faster, as though she was scared about something.
"Mum, what is it? Tell us what's happening.", Scarlett said, calmly.
"We're in a dangerous spot that I never saw. We need to leave. Now."
Then, Justin walked in, hands in his pockets, his hair combed perfectly. It looked like he was fiddling with something in his right pocket.
"Now, Jenny, when were we ever in danger? I think you're blowing things out of proportions...", he cooed, which made me sick.
"Leave her alone. Let her spend time with her daughters for once.", Scarlett growled, her red eyes glowing.
He glared at her; she glared at him, but I was the that sent imaginary bullets toward his perfect, snobby face. He was awesome when we first met him, but now, all he cares about is money, sex, and himself.
     He backed away from us.
"Come on, Jenny-pie, let's just go home..." He looked annoyed, with his sneer.
"I'm not leaving without my children." Scarlett and I stared at her. She never talked back to Him. He started to laugh.
"Awww, how cute; you think you have a choice. Your family, or me. There's a lot more than meets the eye, Jennifer. I only wish you could've seen that, but no. They are blinding you", he said, referencing to my sister and I, "but I can be the one who removes that blindfold." He paused and pulled a pistol out of his right pocket.
     "If only you cooperate."
