~Phil's POV~
I tried to contain my excitement as I felt my phone buzz in my pocket once more. Damn, this secret admirer of mine couldn't get enough.
About two months ago, a few days after Chris' party, I'd started receiving texts from an unknown number. The texts had started off as sweet and short compliments but eventually turned into full blown conversations.
I was flattered at first. Flattered that someone was taking the time to compliment me, to talk to me, making an effort to get to know me. At this point, I had accepted that I had a massive crush on this mysterious boy.
The texts started at just the right time, too. After Chris' party, I couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. The anonymous texts began to distract me.
It wasn't a big deal, I was over it now. But...at the party, something had happened. Something that had pressed on my mind for days afterwards.
~FLASHBACK~
Dan, my best friend, laughed at me as the bottle came to a stop, facing me. Oh God, why had I agreed to this? Now I was going to have to kiss someone. Great.
The bottle was spun again and I waited in suspense to see who it would land on. My brain took a moment to process but when I did I gasped in shock.
Dan.
He looked up at me, a shocked expression also plastered on his face, as he began leaning towards me. He was sitting right next to me, which I suppose was convenient, as everyone cheered around us.
He wrapped his hands around my neck and I tentatively placed mine on his torso, before he brought his face right up to mine. He kept our lips mere millimetres away for a few seconds, his eyes flicking from my eyes to my lips before I leaned in and closed the gap, not being able to wait for some reason.
The kiss was gentle and soft, and somehow made me feel butterflies building in my stomach. After only a couple of seconds, Dan pulled away, but stayed close to me, locking eyes with me. From this one simple glance, we knew we had both felt the same thing, so he pulled me back in one swift movement, and suddenly we were kissing again.
This kiss deepened quickly as we wrapped our arms around each other desperately, clinging to each other and pulling each other closer, our lips still locked.
Eventually, I had to pull away, needing air. Dan looked disappointed and if I was being honest, I was too. Maybe it was just a drunken lust, but I could feel a strong desire for more of Dan, and if there hadn't been a crowd of people around us, I probably would've pulled him back.
For the rest of the game, we snuck each other small glances. When everyone went back to dancing and drinking, I was pulled into an empty room by Dan, making me gasp in surprise.
"What are you doing?" I chuckled, feeling him bring his hands up to my face. "What do you think?" He giggled, bring his lips to mine again.
We spent the rest of the party in that room, having drunken conversations and making out at random intervals. We didn't take it further than kissing because we knew that neither of us were in a state to make rational decisions.
