The detention

Chase's P.O.V.

"Hey guys"I said as I sat down to our table in the lunchroom.They continued their conversation like I didn't say anything at all."Guys ?" I said trying to get their attention.Keyword trying.Then I did the first thing that came to my mind, I slightly shoved Bree to notice me."Chase what do you want ?Can't you see we're having a conversation here ?"she said."I was just trying to get your attention.I came here 5 minutes ago and I said hi but it was like I was invisible"I said angry."Well maybe it's because no one cares about what you say"Leo said.They laughed.I turned to look at him.I was furious."I hate it when you ignore me like I'm nothing"I said."Then maybe you should stop being a nerd"Adam said.That's it.I stood up and got out of the lunchroom.

Why do they think I'm a nerd ?I'm just really smart.I went to my locker to take my books for the next period when I heard a voice."Hey Davenport"Trent yelled.I turned to face him.What do you want Trent ?"I asked."The nerd I punch on Tuesdays didn't show  up today so it's your turn"he said."Trent it's almost time for the next period.Can't we do this later ?"I asked.I knew there was no way I could get away so I just wanted it to happen after school.I turned to leave but I felt a hand on my shoulder ."Oh no.You're not going anywhere"he said and shoved me to the lockers.Then he started punching me really hard on the stomach.I wanted so bad to use my knowledge on martial arts but I knew that was really dangerous.What if I glitch and reveal our secret.After a few more punches I started seeing black dots.Then he punched me on the face and everything went black.

When I woke up Trent was gone.I looked at my phone and saw the time.Great I was 20 minutes late.I stood up trying to ignore the pain,picked up my books and ran to my class.When I got in the teacher turned to look at me.She was angry."Mr. Davenport the bell rang 20 minutes ago.Where have you been ?"she asked.I tried to explain but she cut me."You know what ?I don't want to know.You have detention after school"she said."What ?But you didn't even let me explain"I said."I don't care.Now sit down before I give you detention for the rest if the week"she warned me and I sat down.The teacher continued her lesson while I was thinking what was I going to do.My family would kill me if they knew I got detention and I can't be late today.I have training.Why is my life so difficult ?My thoughts were interrupted from the bell.The school ends for the other students but not for me.I stood up and started walking to the detention room.I was walking through the hallway when I remembered an important thing.I don't know where the detention room is!What am I going to do ?

While I was panicking  about what to do I saw Jeremy Jackson.The school's bad guy(after Trent of course).He was probably going to the detention room too so I followed him.For the first  time today I was lucky! When I got in everyone was staring at me.The teacher also asked me if I came to the wrong classroom.I just told her I came to the right classroom and sat on a desk.I could feel my phone buzzing but I couldn't check to see who it was.I didn't need to.I already knew it was my family and they wanted to know why I wasn't at home for training.

2 hours later they let us go.(I don't know exactly how many hours you have to stay.We don't have this kind of detention in my country)I didn't even look at the messages they sent me.I would hear it at home.After 5 minutes of walking I reached the Davenport mansion.I took a deep breath to calm myself and opened door.Everything seemed normal. Bree was sitting on the couch texting, Adam and Leo were sitting next to her watching cartoons, Tasha was in the kitchen cooking and Mr.Davenport was sitting on his office probably working on an invention.I got in the house and closed the door.Everyone turned to look at who came in and when they realized it was me they stood up and rushed to me."Chase where have you been ?We were looking for you everywhere"Mr. Davenport said."I forgot how to come home ?"I lied.I'm a terrible liar."You're         lying.Only Adam forgets how to come home"Bree said.I turned to look at her and gave her a 'thanks for not helping me' look."Chase the truth.Where have you bee ? You knew we had training today"Mr. Davenport told me.I sigh."Ok the truth is I was late because...I got detention"I said looking to the ground.They started laughing.I looked at them confused.Was it so funny that I got detention ?"Haha very funny.For a moment I actually believed you got detention"Leo said."But I did get detention"I said."Wait what ?"Mr. Davenport asked angry.I think I prefer them thinking it was a joke.

"Chase why did you get detention ?"he asked."I was late in history" I murmured."Again ?This is the forth time you are late to class.Why ?"he asked me.I couldn't tell him about Trent.Things are already bad.I just didn't respond."You're not answering ?Ok that's it go to your capsule.You're grounded"he told me."What ?But that's not fair.And I can't go to my capsule.It's only 6 in the afternoon"I said."I don't care.Now go"he said pointing to the elevator.I just went to the lab.I wore my pajamas and got in my capsule.This is not fair.It wasn't my fault I was late to class.Of course Mr.Davenport didn't know that.I closed my eyes and after 15 minutes I fell into a not so peaceful sleep.
