"Crystal!" I hear my name being called. I turned my head around to face the door, heavy footsteps coming closer to the room.

"The mistress is calling you Crystal, you better get down now," Arabella says as she panted. I smiled at her.

"I'll be right down, promise. Just after I fix Lillian's hair," I replied. I turned back to the black haired girl who sat patiently in front of me. Her face still looked towards the corner of the yellow painted walls. Slowly, I put her hair in a braids that were separated with pigtails. To finish her hair off, I put on her red bonnet.

"There you go love," I tell her. She stood up and took a glance at the mirror.

"Thanks!" she excitedly replies, hugging me tightly then running out of the room. I only laughed at her childish manner.

"Now, can you please go downstairs? I wouldn't want the two of us getting in trouble," Arabella finally says. I smiled and followed her out of the room, into the corridors, and downstairs where the mistress was waiting for us.

"Crystal," she sternly says. I gave Arabella a secure smile, to which she nodded and left the mistress and I alone.

"Mistress, is something wrong? Do I have to run an errand for you?" I ask her politely as we both walked outside of the orphanage.

"Actually, I've been informed by the Queen's Spider that he'd be coming around here at 15 P.M. sharp, alongside his butler. I expect you to take care of the children and dressing them up at a comfortable, yet sophisticated attire." I only nodded my head as I tried to remember who was coming and what I should do. It's not easy trusting your voice when you're so unsure about something.

"Will do Mistress. You can count on me," I smile. She nodded and headed back inside the orphanage. When she left, I sighed deeply and sat on the ground.

Being the oldest one here isn't easy, it never is. I'm barely a teenager and yet, I'm forced to handle all these responsibilities.

After 10 minutes of taking in breathes and calming myself down, I walked back into the orphanage to be tackled down by Lillian and Liam. They both were laughing at me, high-fiving each other with smiles all around.

"Not now you rascals. I've got a mission to do," I smirk at them. They got off of me and stared wide-eyed. Their eyes kept staring at up at me bewildered, since I was in fact two feet taller than them.

"What kind of a mission?" Liam asks. His brown eyes shimmered a hint of interest, same going to Lillian.

"Is it a dangerous one?" Lillian asks, her body trembling in fright. "Be careful Crystal! I wouldn't want you to get hurt and not being able to see you again!" She hugged my waist tightly, almost fighting off a whimpered sound that was forcing to come out of her mouth.

"Please don't get yourself hurt Crystal!" Liam adds, also hugging my waist. I caressed their heads and replied, "Not really dangerous guys. But it involves the whole orphanage."

They stared at me again and said, "We want to help!" I smiled and told them to get all the children ready for a bath and changing of clothes because someone important to the Queen was coming to visit us. And of course, they listened to me and helped me get everyone ready for the Queen's Spider to arrive.

"They're here!" I hear one of the child's voice ring in excitement. Everyone ran up to the couch and huddled around the window.

"Guys! Get away from the window and behave yourselves!" Mindy, one of the caretakers, scolds them. They all obeyed, all except one. I only smirked at the black haired girl and sat down next to her. She looked down at me with her blue eyes.
