Chapter 3

Noah.

Noah was the one who caught us. He looked at us with wide eyes. And parted mouth.

"You. If you say anything about what Brooks and I did, you'll be buried 6ft under. You understand?" Elliot said in the most threatening voice ever. I must admit, it was pretty scary, but it scared Noah the most.

"Y-Yes, sure." He stuttered. I smirked. Good. Now no one will know.

"Great." His glare was now gone. Well, that's good. "Why are you here anyways. Is nerd boy skipping?"

"Umm, no! And I'm not a nerd, I'm just smarter than you. And I'm hiding from Br- someone." Noah retorted. Hmm... Brave boy. No one would say that to Elli.

"Right. You're lucky I'm in a good mood to deal with you right now." Ell said. Then looked at me and smiled. I smiled back.

Noah looked at Ell and me and then Ell and me again. "Can I ask you one question?"

"You just did." I smirked. Haha.. That wasn't funny, was it? Okay.......

"Okay, I have a question and I would like to ask them to you guys." He corrected, smirking.

"Shoot." Ell said.

"Okay, so, why were you guys kissing? I mean, you guys are best friends.... And best friends..um.. don't kiss each other...... So.. Um why we-" he was interrupted by me.

"Now, that's none of your business, nerd boy. So stay out of it." I said, rudely. Okay, I am rude right now, but seriously. He caught us kissing, and that's enough news for him today.

"Umm.. O-okay." I was kinda surprised by his response. I though he would roll his eyes and say that he isn't a nerd, he is just smarter than me. But I guessed not. Wait...........

"But I'm not a nerd, I'm ju-" he was interrupted by me again.

"Just smarter than me?" I walked towards him. "Who was the one who won the spelling competition? Who was the one who wrote the best essay? Who was the one who had the best project in history?Who wa-" Okay, I was lying on some part. But I did won the spelling competition.

"Okay, okay. Geez..." He rolled his eyes, and stood up. "Fine, you're smart..... Ish.. But I'm smarter." He smirked and walked away. Ugh! I hate it when someone else get their last word instead of me.

"Just ignore him, you're smarter." Ell said. And walked towards me. "And beautiful as well." And with that he kissed me. I wrapped my arms against at the back of his neck and pushed him against me until there isn't any space between us.

Uh-oh! I feel his birdie poke me..... Um.. This isn't awkward at all.

"You got a bonner?" I laughed.

"Don't tease me. You turn me on." He smiled and kissed my neck. We continued and decided to skip. Like always.

"So, guys.. I was wondering......" Brianna stopped for a second and continued, looking nervous "if you guys want to maybe pretend to be dating?" That made Ell and I choke on our pizza...

"Umm why?" Ell asked. Now this is awkward...

"Well I have a date...." That made me choke even more. "And I was too shy to actually have a date with him, so I told him that we must have a double date." Brianna? Shy? No way. Brianna must really like this guy. "And I told him it was you two. Sorry, guys. I mean I couldn't think of anyone else. And you guys are the only people I could trust and would support me if I needed help in that date. So please, please, please say yes."

Ell and I looked at each other and sighed. "Fine.." We both said at the same time.

She squealed and grinned like she just won the lottery. "Yes! I'm so happy. You guys are the best." She hugged us. Someone cleared their throat behind us.

Jack and behind him was Noah.

"So, you excited for the date." As soon as Jack said that, Noah's eyes popped out..

"Yep. And they agreed to do the double date too." Brin said, excitedly. And that made Noah's eyes bigger. I don't know how, but he did. Maybe because his eyebrows raised higher, making his eye pop.. Okay then..

Noah cleared his throat. Ell glared at him, signaling him to shut up. Jack and Brianna was too busy, kissing each other. Woah! That escalated quickly. Noah didn't notice though. But when Elliot looked at them, Noah seemed to notice. He frowned.

"I better go." He said, sounding vulnerable. "Okay, see you later alligator." Jack responded and pecked Brianna's lips and grinned.

Noah looked at them for a second and walked away. I looked at Elliot and saw him too busy looking through his phone. So I decided to catch up with Noah.

"I better get going too. See you." I didn't explain too much, and didn't wait for Ell to ask me where I'm going either. I just left and walked towards where Noah had gone.

I saw him on the stairs, crying. Noah must've like Brianna that much to cry for her. Pfft. You think I feel bad? Nah..

I sat beside him. He looked up at me and wiped his tears away. "I saw it. Don't pretend you're not crying." I said.

He didn't reply. He just looked away from me stared at the lockers in front of us. Brianna's locker.

"I know why you're crying.." Now that got his attention. He looked at me and frowned. He looked confuse.

"It's because of Brianna, isn't it. Too bad she's dating you're best friend. And you like her too." He just stared at me, with a blush. Ah-hah! Caught you..

"So it is the reason.." I smirked. "I won't tell her, don't worry." Pfft, you kidding? Of course I would tell her. I know that would ruin Noah's life, but I don't care.

"I just like her so much." He whispered.. "I liked her since grade 7, and I think I'm over the crushing part. Im in the in love part already." My face stayed straight. I don't care at all, but I continued listening, I came here to tease him about Jack and Brianna, but seems like he changed the plan.

"I couldn't tell my best friend cause he is in love with her too." He said, now that caught my attention. Now this is drama... And I love drama..

"So you decided to keep your mouth shut even though you liked her first?" I asked. Jack only came to this school in year 9.

"Yep. And it sucks.. I always tell him everything, we are like brothers, and he always asks me who is the girl I like. But I couldn't tell him it's her." He whispers... Wow his love life sucks.. I suppose I should keep my mouth shut about this... Not that I care. I don't care about anything.
