I've read many many bad boy and good girl books, that are full of cliche things. Now, I'm not saying they aren't good, because most of them I LOVE. But I'm here with a new story, the same good girl and bad boy, without the cliche.
Here are the cliche things I will not include:
- bumping into bad boy/ thinking he's a wall.
Everyone has eyes, and I'm pretty sure you use them to see. Okay, if you bump into his shoulder with yours, that's understood, but I don't think that makes you drop all your books. And if he is rude, I don't think he'll waste his breath on the good girl to say "watch where you are going", he probably would just ignore the bump and continue on.- next door neighbors with the boy.
Why must every book have that? I live across the street from a guy, but not next door. And how the heck do you go through the window to get his room? I would fall to my death. And why must his rooms window be next to the girls? Why can't his room be on the other side of the house?- having dinner at the boy's house.
"Omg, I never realized that my dads boss' last name is the same as the bad boy's, boy do I never pay attention to my dad and his life."- project partners/ baby project.
If you get lucky, sure, but I'm pretty sure that if the good girl gets great grades and the bad boy doesn't, they won't be in the same class, and the teacher wouldn't put people so incompatible together knowing that it won't work out. Teachers are there to help, not ruin your grades.
But that doesn't mean you can't them partners, sometimes it's just luck, but a baby project? Really? Think again for better ideas no offense.- every single girl is in "love" with the boy.
Is it just me, or did this school become an all girls school with one boy? Because, last thing I remember, there are other fish in the sea, not everyone has the same taste.- the queen b of the school thinks the boy is hers and gets jealous and tells the good girl to stay away.
Sure, some popular people can be rude and cruel. But never have I ever imagined someone so desperate being real. It just doesn't add up. And why the queen b? Why not make the popular girl nice for once?- crazy ex boyfriend.
Why is it that when the good girl gets along with the bad boy, that her crazy ex has to come. Why not before? Why not in a few years? Why then? And why oh why, must he be crazy? Can't people have a mutual breakup or at least get over their exes for once?- boy always sleeps around and does things like "that" in school.
Okay, so there could be rumors obviously, this is high school, rumors are everywhere. But first of all, he doesn't have to sleep around always, ever heard of diseases? It's like, oh I don't have homework tonight since high school isn't hard whatsoever, my place or yours? Just no. And I'm pretty sure janitor closets in school are locked...- super easy to just skip class.
In New York, where I live, there is security guards at the main door, the doors have automatic locks on them, so it's pretty hard to skip school. If you took the day off and didn't go to school in the first place and skipped it that way, okay I get that. But if you're like, "ugh I don't want to go to science, let me just get out of here." You just can't. And no matter who much you hate that class, you need it!- bad boy is rich with a mansion and perfect car.
Newsflash! Not everyone is crazy loaded. Sure some might be richer than others but your parents being multimillionaires isn't something casual. And the mansions, how is a mansion casually in the middle of a suburban neighborhood, and the bad boy goes to a public high school. And the car, flashy cars are amazing, I love them, but I honestly don't think you would take it to school where it could get destroyed super easily.- bad boy wears a leather jacket and has a motorcycle.
Okay, so wearing a leather jackets makes you cool... That's means my mom is a hip teenager... Yeah no. And motorcycles, honestly, I haven't ever seen a teenager ride a motorcycle, it's always old guys. And why must the good girl be scared of them, I mean sure she's never ridden on, but if I had the chance to ride one, knowing that he could drive it well cause he rides it to school every day, I would never pass it up!- parties.
Okay, I get it, it's high school, parties do happen. But crazy parties at mansion with hella lot of alcohol and no parent supervision? I don't think so.- actors.
Why must the bad boy always be Francisco Lachowski?? Yeah he's hot, no argument there, but why not someone else? And then there's Barbara Palvin or Cara Delevingne for the good girl. Yeah, they're pretty, but overused. There are tons of hot actors out there, pick a different one! They can be really liked and stuff, just not used that much by wattpaders.- football.
Alright, I get that high schools big sport is football as well as basketball. So it's common, not cliche. But must the bad boy have to be in the team? And the quarterback? There are other positions you know.- parents.
Where the parents at? They can work overtime and stuff, but come on, they have to be in the story at some point!- tutoring the bad boy.
Why is the good girl that tutors the bad boy? There surely must be other smart people in the school. And why not get an actual tutor for once? Why a kid that is still in high school and could also mess up and get something wrong as well? Those may not be all of the cliche things, but those are the things that I can think of right now that are the most commonly used.
My Inspirations:
These are all cliche (but absolutely wonderful!) stories that inspired me. I know I said a lot about cliche stuff above that is in these stories, but I was just trying to say that those things were overused, some authors like the ones below can really make them work!- Bad Boy Stole My Bra by Cherry_Cola_x
- Bad Boy, Cupid, And I by Slim_Shady
- Bad Boy's Girl JessGirl93
- I Sold Myself To The Devil... Pity Full I Know by DarknessAndLightTo anyone that I know in real life or online:
This book is not me okay? If it curses that doesn't mean I curse. It's a story, don't think of me differently when you read it, because we know that this is not really something I would write. But I have the ideas and I want to share them. A good writer experiments, and that is what I'm doing. This is just for teen fiction stories that I hope will get really popular, so I'm writing what the people want. Also, most of the books that are really popular are written by people that are mostly 16 or older. I'm not even older than 14, and haven't exactly experienced high school. But give it a try, I'm trying my best to make a good story.
I should be studying, but here I am :P
Without further ado, I present Teddy And Tink.
