Amelia
As the sounds of the alarm took sleep away from me I blinked in the light seeping through my window.
7:00 am
I glared, shutting off my alarm before snugging back down into my duvet.Suddenly realisation of the past events hit me. Groaning to myself, I got out of my cave of bed covers, shivering as the cold morning air hit my skin. Did that event really happen with Aaron? Feeling myself start to go red from embarrassment I set a mental note to punch myself for it later. Wincing as my feet touch the freezing tiled floor I tip toed to the bathroom. Following my normal morning routine, I got in the shower, letting the warm water enclose me. Looking in my wardrobe I pulled out an old jumper and some jeans to complete my casual look. Running downstairs I grabbed my bag then ran to the door. My parents never questioned me in the morning as they knew better. I'm not a morning person and I never will be.
As I trudged down the road I spotted the familiar sight of Old Jones Coffee House. I walked in greeted by the coffee scented air. Like normal I walked over to the counter to grab my regular: triple chocolate chip muffin and caramel latte. What can I say? I have a sweet tooth.
I reach for the last muffin only to meet with another hand. I look up and find myself staring into green pools.
As if recognising me he smiled but when looking closer into his eyes I saw something I couldn't quite place.
"It's fine you can have the last one I'm not really hungry anyway" he said turning to walk off.
"Wait," I said holding the muffin in hand,
"aren't you at least going to say hello" I said lamely looking down to the ground.
"And why would I do that" Aaron asked looking confused.
Studying him I couldn't work out if he was trying to be rude, just forget the embarrassing event or he just had a short term memory problem.
"Because you met me yesterday...Amelia remember?" I breathed out between clenched teeth.
Aaron looked at me as if I had just run over a puppy. Shock engulfed his features causing him to freeze.
"Y...you remember me?" He stuttered out.
"Of course I do, I only did just met yesterday at the beach, remember?" I said confused, not being able to piece anything together. Why was he acting so strange it's not like I was anything special?Aaron
I must be scaring her but I can't change my expression. She looks at me like I'm mad, trying to work out my expression.
"What's my name then?" I ask challenging her.
For a while she just stared at me looking me up and down as if she was making up her mind.
"Aaron" she whispered to herself, trying to convince both of us that she did know me.
"At least that's what you told me" she shrugged turning around to leave.
"Wait, where are you going?" I asked frantically grabbing her wrist, forcing her to turn around.
"To school" she said looking down at my white knuckles placed around her wrist rather than in my eyes. But I can't let her go I need to find out answers.
"Meet me then." I say quickly before I can regret my forceful tone.
"What?" She asked, probably shocked at my forceful tone.
"Meet me on the beach, I need to talk to you."
"What time?" She asked slowly draping her eyes up to mine.
" 6pm on the dot" I splutter out.
Realising I'm still holding onto her wrist I drop it instantly only to see a wide red mark where my hand had been. A pang of guilt struck me before she slowly nodded then turned around leaving the shop. Leaving me.
Amelia
Rubbing my wrist, I try to recollect my thoughts as I walk through the maze of Tenby finding my way to school. Why was he so forceful? Why does he want me to meet him? Like I said before I'm nothing special so why?
Sighing I walked into the school building down the ruff carpeted hall to my locker. Before I even open it I her a shriek of laughter behind me. As I turn around I see the banshee and its followers. Fake hair, fake face, fake personality, fake everything. Holly Cross: the schools fake-a-holic. Meeting my eyes, hers turn icy blue glaring at me.
"And what are you looking at Amelia?" She says whipping her hair as she does so making the swarm around her all turn to me. I didn't even know she knew my name.
"Nothing" I mutter turning back around to my locker to empty the contents of my bag.
"That what I thought" Holly growled. Even though I can't see I can hear her giggling down the halls with her perfect pearly white grin.
Forgetting about Aaron I trudged off to Maths, a subject where I could blank everyone else and be able to solve the problems instead of getting tangled up in them.
