He, like everyone else, wears dark. Vampires are so anti-light...I think it's more of a cultural thing than a need. Pretty sure sunlight doesn't effect them, and I don't think light colors do wither. Just the culture.
He caught my eye. His eyes widened and jaw dropped. I stepped back, my foot slipping on one of the stairs. I caught myself but Ash noticed. There are two doors behind the thrones on the left and right wall. Ash seemed slightly annoyed and curious to what the hell I was doing. I can't speak, the man heading my way. Ashborne set Lily down and offered a small, still sad, smile. She grinned and scampered off. The king looked over at us. A couple guests looked over but as soon as they saw the royal family they looked away.
"Hello Ashborne." He smiled, his eyes cold. His voice gruff. Terror. Absolute terror ripped through me. Flashed of red. Blood. It filled my vision. That voice...
"Klaus. How nice of you to stop by." Ashborne's voice was tense.
"Who is the girl?"
"The new slave."
"What's her name? She looks beautiful." Klaus's eyes had hunger in them.
Murder in his eyes. I shook my head, walking backwards. I turned and sprinted out the right door, the closest. I needed to get out, screw the consequences. I know I won't get far, I may be fast but they're freaking vampires. A arm wrapped around me and I was jerked back, pressed against someone. I struggled.
"Stop." It was Ash. I didn't and he put me in a sleeper hold. My body relaxed. My vision started to darken and my eyes closed. I went limp, strength drained. He dropped me and I crumpled to the ground, still awake. I'm pretty sure Ash knew it too. I don't have the strength to move or even open my eyes.
"Not very obedient." Klaus chuckled. The fear coursed through me. The terror increased because of my inability to move. What did Ash do to me?
"Usually is. She was broken before she came here, this is new." He sounded confused, curious.
"Interesting. I should get going. I will see you later. Cannot wait to find out who she is." Klaus's footsteps faded and a door opened and shut.
"Neither can I." Ash said, picking me up. I didn't fight emotions are running through me I'm breaking down. I slipped into unconsciousness. The abyss taking hold.
I gasped awake in my own room. What the hell happened? I stood, trying the door. Locked from the outside. I kinda expected this. It's ok. It's fine. Klaus is not here. Klaus...my heart rate sped up again. I hid under the covers like a child. The warmth enveloped me and the fear diminished. I remembered Klaus's face and fear shot through me. I started to shake. Red flashed. Pain...fear...blood...
I gasped, hunger overwhelming me. It's not normal. A migraine was splitting my skull open and I felt warm tears slide down my face. They were slower. I got out from under the covers and stood, hands on my head, necklace around my fingers. I caught a glance in the mirror. I froze, going pale, my blood turning to ice. My necklace slid out of my fingers and onto the ground. This has to be a dream...
My eyes are glowing gold just like Ash's, and my tears are blood. What's going on? I can't think straight. I grab one of the black towels. Everything is dark-colored, lights low. Vampires must be light sensitive. I scrubbed the blood off my face and in the black I saw flashes of blood, the migraine and the hunger getting worse...what is this?
