{For those of you not on tumblr/unaware of who Glunkus is, he's a creepypasta from the popular app Neko Atsume. I'll put a link in the comments if you're interested. I think he's adorable, so I decided to do this silly little story. I hope you enjoy!}

You were walking home from school, enjoying the silence, when you heard a soft sound coming from the grass next to you. Curious, you pause to see if you can hear it again. After a moment, you hear another soft blurb and a small rustling noise. You bend down and poke through the grass.

After a few seconds you feel a small paw slap at your hand. You smile excitedly and push a little further into the grass. You jump back, face to face with a creature of some sort.

He had the body of a normal black cat, but the poor thing's face was nothing but teeth.
He blurbled a little bit before rolling over onto its stomach, signaling he wanted you to pet him. Common sense told you to run away and leave the creature alone but you decided to reach out and scratch its belly. It made a strange sound of contentment and stretched out even further.

Making a rash decision, you eased yourself forward and scooped him up into your arms. Petting him, you cooed and tried to see if he had a collar. He didn't have a name tag so you settled on the first thing that popped into your head, Glunkus. Perfect. You then made another rash decision: you were going to take him home and he was going to be your cat. You were going to be the best per owner ever!

Even if your parents were against the idea of having a pet, it would be totally fine, right?

It wasn't. They thought he was creepy and weird and you think your mom might have even called him Satan.

They insisted that you put him outside and then go take a sanitary shower. You angrily obeyed. You trudged out to the backyard and hid him under the porch, leaving a small piece of a ham and cheese sandwich with him, promising over and over that you'd be back to visit him later. You went inside and took the world's shortest shower before getting dressed and walking down to the local corner store. You wandered up and down the aisles before finally locating the cat food. So many brands to choose from that you just could never-what's this? You see a grey bag with 'Shitty Bitz' scrawled across it in white font. On a whim, you pick the bag up to buy. It must have weighed a ton and it felt like it was full of rocks. You shrugged and struggled over to the counter.

You walked home as quickly as possible and stealthily walked around the house to the porch where you'd hidden Glunkus. You crawled under the porch, only to see that Glunkus had vanished.

Heartbroken, you left the bag of Shitty Bitz on the ground and went inside. You flung yourself onto your pillow and sighed. So much for being the best pet owner ever.

Your mother came up to your room and found you curled in a ball, sound asleep. She sighed and left the plate of food she'd brought up for you on the nightstand before going back downstairs.

You woke up around twelve to a weirdly familiar blurble coming from outside. Rubbing your eyes, you cross over to the window only to see a small black figure eating out of the Shitty Bitz bag. As hope that your precious little Glunkus hadn't abandoned you, you threw on shoes and went into the yard.

Once you'd arrived you saw that Glunkus had, in fact, returned! He was eating out of the bag with another cat you hadn't seen before. You gave a soft squeal of happiness, drawing the cats' attention.

You walked over to them and began softly petting Glunkus as the other cat, who was quite a dirty brown, curled up into you. You smiled giddily and, after naming the new cat Hobo, scooped them into your lap.

They stayed there for awhile before stretching and running off into the darkness. You remained seated on the cold ground for a few more minutes, noticing that Shitty Bitz was just a bag of gravel. Shrugging, you stood up and went back to bed, hoping that you'd see your two pets again tomorrow night.
