When I woke up the next morning, my nose was happily greeted with the scent of bacon and pancakes. I jumped out of bed and ran into the kitchen following the sweet scents.

"Well good morning to you, too, Sleepy head," Macy said cheerfully as she flipped over a pancake. "I thought you'd never wake up. It's nearly noon."

I laughed and hopped up on the counter next to the stove. "When did you get back? I didn't hear you come in last night." I took notice of the plate stacked high with pancakes and reached to grab one. Before I could grab one, though, Macy swatted my hand with the spatula and hissed at me. I put my hands up in mock surrender and scooted away from the plate.

"Wait until I'm finished, you savage," Macy joked. She flipped a perfect golden pancake onto the plate and I felt my stomach growl. "And I got back this morning around six. Thought I'd surprise my favorite and, well, only best friend with some breakfast."

Macy's been making me breakfast since we were in secondary school. She's the reason why we've never been out to eat a proper breakfast before. I've always offered to help but she says it's her treat. I don't fight her on it, though. I'd probably burn down the kitchen if I tried to make any food besides Easy Mac.

"Aw, you didn't have to do that. That's so sweet of you, Mac! Thank you!" I exclaimed, hopping off of the counter and hugging her from behind. She put down the spatula and twisted in my grip to engulf me in one of her famous Macy hugs that I loved oh so much. "We're literally best friend goals," I joked.

"I know, right?" Macy laughed, letting go of the hug. She turned back to her cooking and poured another cup of pancake batter onto griddle. "So, any plans for tonight? I'm finally free for once. Want to go to a movie or something?"

Shit. I have to tell her about Niall. I mean it's not like I can hide it from her, she's apart of the plans tonight and there's no way I'm going alone.

"Um, yeah. I actually have plans and I want you to come with, but um, quick question," I said nervously, twiddling with my thumbs.

"Yes?" Macy asked, eyeing me suspiciously.

"How do you feel about going to a football match tonight?" I asked, gnawing on my bottom lip anxiously. Macy's never been one to want to watch sports before and I didn't really think about that when I told Niall I'd go tonight.

"A football match?" Macy questioned, turning around to look at me, her eyebrows furrowed. I nodded in confirmation. "Sure! I haven't been to one since I was young. Who's playing tonight?" She asked as she took off another perfect pancake.

"Niall and his friends," I muttered under my breath.

"Who?"

"Niall and his friends," I repeated, my voice almost inaudible.

"Okay, you're annoying me. Tell me before I beat you up," Macy said, crossing her arms over her chest.

I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose. "Last night, Niall invited me to watch his football match. He's playing with some friends tonight and they've got the whole Salford stadium to themselves. I told him you'd come too," I explained.

"Ni-Niall asked y-you to, oh my gosh!" Macy squealed, clasping her hands together. "Niall wants you to come see him play! You actually talked to Niall! Why didn't you tell me?! Oh my god, Jess, this is incredible!" She said all in one breath, jumping up and down.

"Whoa whoa whoa," I said, putting my arms out. "Calm down. It's not that big of a deal."

Macy's jaw dropped and she flicked her eyebrows up. "Not that big of a deal?! It's a huge deal! I can't believe you actually talked to him!" She exclaimed. "What did you guys talk about? Did he say he wants to do dinner after? Oh my god. Details, details, details!"
