November 14, 10:30
Hanschen shuffled down the stairs, trying to keep his cool. He felt full of swagger, and dressed the way he knew would be irresistible to Ernst. He wore his favorite pair of skinny jeans, a nude colored shirt, a red zip-up hoodie, and a matching red beanie with just enough of his hair sticking out of it. He then said goodbye to his family, and said he was going to "chill with some friends." They didn't question him, but they usually didn't anyways. Out the door he went and started his car. He felt so free, just him, the road, nobody there to stop him. He drove as fast as he could so he could get to Ernst's house early. He always likes being five minutes early. But it was just a fifteen minute drive, and it was 10:37 so he had plenty of time.  He stopped by the jiffy store down the street to get Ernst some gummy worms, (his favorite snack) to kill some time. He got another text from Ernst when he was on his street, just about to pull in. It said "Can't wait to see you!" With a lot of cute emojis. Hanschen felt the same way, but he didn't want to seem as vulnerable. He enjoyed being the tough one out of them, or at least trying to be the tough one. Usually he would've replied, but Hanschen just pulled up into Ernst's driveway. He grabbed the bag of gummy worms that were sitting in the passenger seat, stuffed them in his hoodie pocket, and walked towards the door. His hand quivered. He didn't know why he was nervous. He was going to enjoy today, wasn't he? He just shook it off and rung the doorbell. Almost immediately Ernst opened the door, as if he was waiting for Hanschen. "Hi buddy!" He exclaimed and went straight in for a hug. Hanschen didn't deny the offer, but he knew that this would look suspicious if any neighbors saw. They stopped the hug abruptly so they could go inside and close the door. The happiness on Ernst's face in those moments could've made Hanschen burst. He noticed that it was warm in the house, so he put his hoodie on the coat hook near the door and hid the gummy worms behind his back as he leisurely walked over to Ernst, who rushed to the kitchen. "I got something for you.." Hanschen said with a smug look on his face. "Hansi, you didn't have to do that!" Ernst's face reddened. "Oh it's just a little thing.." Hanschen mumbled as he handed Ernst the gummies. "Oh my god! You can be too sweet sometimes." Ernst said as he put the gummy worms on the counter and gave Hanschen a peck on the cheek. They both stood in awkward silence for a moment, both looking down with slight grins on their faces. Hanschen  quickly looked up at Ernst, his face looking worrisome. "Wait, where are your parents!" Are they here, in the house?" Ernst rolled his eyes, and playfully hit Hanschen."Of course they aren't silly, we have the house to ourselves for the weekend. And that is not an invite to try anything." Hanschen just smiled. Ernst quickly changed the subject. "Um so do you want to watch a movie or just like.." Ernst leaned against the counter and started playing with a flyaway in his hair. "Sure! Let's go pick out a movie." Hanschen just wanted to feel not awkward and be comfortable with Ernst, and it sounded like a movie could do just that. They both leisurely walked over to the living room, and Hanschen plopped himself on the Robel's dark leather couch. Ernst walked over to the shelf with the movies next to the tv and sat down. "What movie do you want to watch?!" Ernst asked with joy in his eyes. "Um I don't really care which one we watch, you can pick." Hanschen said. He was more excited for what could come after the movie. "Ok well I'm going to name off movies and you tell me if we should watch it." Ernst announced. Hanschen nodded his head in agreement. Ernst looked so cute just sitting down there near the tv. Hanschen wanted nothing more than to just run up behind Ernst and have his mouth on his, and then he'd— "Hansi!! How about we watch the notebook! I just love this movie!" Ernst proposed with a big grin on his face. "Ok, that sounds good to me!" Hanschen heard about the notebook before, but all that he could remember was it was really romantic, and that sounded like a good choice.
