Sweat trickled from my forehead all the way down to my waist. Words escaped my mouth as choppy like the waters of an ocean storm. I've never felt this angry in my life.
"I can't believe any of this right now," I panted, feeling sick to my stomach.
"Babe please, I-"
"Don't you dare call me that. Don't you dare," I snapped."Not after what you did to me."
Jake's face was faltering with every word I spoke. He looked as if he'd seen a ghost. I felt as if I were one.
"You don't understand how sorry I am," he held his face in his hands.
"I can imagine how sorry you are, and I compare that to how much you care about math class Jake. You don't mean it, you never did. You meant it for her, not for me. A 12 year old girl, Jake. A fucking 12 year old girl is better than me to you."
"She's not 12, she's 14!"
"You know, I honestly don't even know why I'm mad. None of this is a surprise coming from you. I can't believe I trusted you."
He stood there, silenced by the words I spoke.
With that, I got inside my car and pulled my seat belt over my body as quickly and aggressively over as possible, clicking it into the buckle. I started the car as I pulled out my phone and texted my bestfriend.
To: Arabella🖕🏻😚
Yo, I'm coming over. Got tea to spill☕️I began to drive, although she hadn't answered my text I knew she wouldn't mind me coming over. I was spilling tea after all, she loved the drama in my life. I watched the pink and orange slowly take over the sky as the sun began to set. It was a beautiful but short drive. I walked up to Bella's door and entered. She hated when I knocked or rang the doorbell for some odd reason.
"Bella?" I shouted, my tone filled with wonders. After a moment or two her little brother Tristan came out of his room.
"Hey Hazel," he said as he walked into the kitchen.
"Hey Trist, where's your sister?" I asked. He pointed up the stairs.
"I think she's napping," I heard small clinks and clanks from the fridge as he searched around.
"Alright, thanks dude."
I walked up the stairs and went into her room. Her back was facing me and she was laying down on her bed.
"Bella, wake up," I lightly shook her arm and she turned onto her back and looked up at me.
"Hay, when did you get here?" She asked, sitting up and rubbing her eyes.
"Just a second ago, did you get my text?" I asked. She shook her head and yawned as she grabbed her phone from her bedside table. She checked it and looked at me.
"What's the tea?" She raised and eyebrow and propped herself up against her headboard.
"Okay so I went over to Jake's house to hangout right? Well I literally get there and hear unpleasant sounds coming from his room so I walked in and he's literally having sex with a 14 year old girl. He's the one who told me to come over 20 minutes before," her mouth slowly opened and pure disgust was smeared across her face.
"You know he can't do math though, obviously he thought you'd take longer."
"Not helping."
"Yeah, yeah sorry. Isn't that technically rape? He's 19," she said. I nodded and she made a gagging sound.
"I know. He's a disgusting person. I hope they both get chlamydia," I said and she began laughing. I breathed out a small snicker and sat down beside her.
"So you broke up with him right?" She asked in the middle of her laugh fest.
"Well obviously," I began picking small strings from one of the pillows that sat upon her bed.
"Are you okay?" Her words repeated themselves over and over again in my head. I wasn't okay obviously but I couldn't tell her that, I wasn't going to lose my pride over him.
"Of course, he was a waste of time."
"That's what I like to hear!" She smiled and swooped her hand through my hair as she stood up from the bed. She grabbed my hand and pulled me up.
"What are you doing?" I asked as she slipped on her moccasins, still gripping my hand in hers.
"You mean we. We're gonna go do something fun! Get your mind off of things."
