Lately you felt that you and Zack hadn't been as close as you used to be. You had met on the first day of secondary school and had been friends ever since. You knew he was busy with the band and touring but you couldn't help but think about how the other guys in the band still had time to catch up with their friends and be there for them.
Waiting by the phone for someone to ring you isn't the most fun. He promised he'd actually ring this time but he hasn't been very good at keeping promises lately. You just wanted to hear how thingswere actually coming from him, not from stalking his Instagram every five minutes. Finally your phone rings. You answer it and hear his voice for the first time in two months . " ( y/n)! I'm so sorry I haven't been talking to you recently. I've just been so busy with stuff" he says quickly. " Hey Zack. It's good to actually know you're alive. Remember before you left you said you'd still text me and how you obviously wouldn't drift away from me? Well I've been waiting for the past month and a half for even a simple 'hi' in a text but noo Zack is too busy to remember the people who helped him through everything and supported him when he was starting out" you rambled angrily. "( y/n) honestly I was meaning to, everything's just been so hectic and I can't find time for anything. I haven't forgotten you ( y/n). You're still the best friend I have"
"Well I haven't been feeling much of that best friend love recently" you say your voice raising. " I'm sorry. I know I haven't called or texted at all but I promise I absolutely promise that I will now. You mean the world to me and I would never wanna lose our friendship. Just please don't be mad? " he pleads. " I can be mad if I want. You didn't text me for two months you little shit. I knowsound seriously clingy but I just miss you" you say angry but slowly becoming less mad at Zack. " I have a show in 20 minutes so I need to go but I'll text you later. I'm not lying this time. And yeah okay you do have a right to be angry." You say goodbye and start thinking. Why the he'll did you just forgive him? He better keep in contact this time.
