I sniffed the air. I could smell my prey the odour of sweat, fear and panic just how I like it. From the smell I would say they are about one mile north of were I am. The grin across my face was wide and I was unable to put it away. The excitement of hunting down my prey was too much. The high was unreal nothing could ruin my mood. I was unstoppable. I sprinted through the stone paved pavements of the old town. The unbalanced cobble work always left me a little unbalanced. Nothing major nothing that could ruin my train of thought. Kill, Murder, Rent, Tear, Bite and Maim I couldn’t wait so much so drool came running out of my mouth. My teeth ached for blood. Dragging my claws past the old drooping buildings only gave me more excitement I knew my prey could hear me. The smell of fear coming from it was intensifying. It was bliss. I was getting closer and closer. I needed this kill so bad it had been two months since my last outing.
My prey had lead me to an old warehouse. Perfect. I always wondered why the prey ran into places abandoned or secluded from anything but then it did make getting away a lot easier. I was so close now so much so I had to bite my own hand if I hadn’t I would have lost myself in the high and forgotten how I killed the prey. I walked in the warehouse the street lamp outside made my shadow huge. I didn’t need to smell for the prey anymore I could its heartbeat. It was pounding. This was the fun bit time to play. I took my time finding this one last time I rushed too much and felt I had under done it. As I stalked the hallways of the warehouse I wondered if the prey was a screamer or a fighter maybe it was both. I wiped the drool from my mouth with the sleeve of my black coat. As well as the preys heart pounding my own was as well. Right around the dark hallway corner my prey was waiting for me. Just thrilling. I turned to be face with an average height man brown hair, blue eyes the usual crap.
He had found himself a weapon an old pipe. Ah good a challenge I hadn’t had one in a while I choose wisely tonight. As I approached him he got a better look at me. His reaction was the same as everybody’s who sees the real me. I think it’s my larger than life canine teeth or the fact that my hands are more claws than hands. The prey came at me for once I was amazed. He swung his pipe at me. I dodged to the right with ease in this form everything was heightened. Using the back of my right hand I backslapped the prey into the floor. He dropped his weapon, shame really I was hoping for more of a challenge. As I approached him he kicked his legs at my black jeans. Tripping me. The fall to the ground gave me enough time to get pissed of at myself for not dodging and at my prey for tripping me up. The thud and mind numbing pain followed as I landed face first into the ground. The prey scrambled up and ran. I got up and tried sniffing him out. The blood coming out my nose was blocking my sense of smell. The prey just got a handicap. I grinned with excitement I knew this was going to be a fun night but didn’t realize how much so. I knew he was still in the warehouse I could still hear his heartbeat. Little more than two minutes away. This time I would make him suffer.
I ran in the direction he was in. I found him in the main office of the warehouse. The door and glass window was all that separated us. I could see my refection. My nose was bloody and face marked by the ground. My red eyes shown in the dim light. The prey was on the other side of the window and door. He had managed to find a new weapon a fire extinguisher it was crude but still a weapon. I strolled back and forth taunting him and making his heartbeat that much more. It delighted me. He screamed at me threats then they turned to mercy pleas then questions in why I was hunting him. I gave no answer none was needed. I was going to kill him what reason was their to tell my prey why I was going to kill him. The lion doesn’t tell the zebra that it’s going to kill it because it’s hungry. I did this strolling for twenty minutes before boredom set in. I was losing my high I couldn’t have this. I burst threw the window. The prey in shock stood motionless as I stood up. He then came at me the fire extinguisher. I blocked with my left forearm denting the container. He let go of it and ran for the door mere metres away from me. I Gripped him from the back digging my claws deep in his spine. The scream he let out was bliss. Just what I needed. I let his body hit the floor his blood running out from his back.
I had done it again to much force when grabbing I had to remember they were fragile. I walked over to his face and knelt down. He was still breathing. He was begging for mercy and to let him go. I had heard it lots of times it bored me really. His heart was weakening I could hear it slowly stop beating. I had to make him scream at least one more time before it stopped or my fun would have been for nothing. I looked over his body before deciding. The arms the best scream that I would get would be by breaking them. No blood loss from that but he would feel terrible pain. I gripped both arms from behind. My claws digging deep into his skin. He screamed a little. He would scream more now. The snap and crunch as I tore his arms the wrong way was the perfect high I needed. The screams were amazing then his heart stopped he died. It was a shame I wanted to play more but nothing can last forever. I gripped him by the head and picked up his limp body and threw it over my shoulder. This would feed by family for a good month before I had to hunt again. I was disappointed I had to wait a whole month before doing this again.
