I remembered that day as clear as a crystal. It was our first Christmas together, and needless to say, I was enthusiastic. We walked down the snowy streets of Seoul together, our hands interlocked tightly together.
I remembered not wanting to let go of your hand - because it brought me so much warmth and comfort on that cold winter day.
But I knew that I had to let go eventually. You didn't want me to forget you, so you gave me a pendant. But obviously, I could never forget you.
The pendant had the words "Forever" carefully engraved in the middle of the heart, surrounded by little jewels.
I put it on excitedly, as I awaited our future together. But funny, "Forever" lasted shorter than I thought it would.
