It had been two months since they've arrived back in Terrasen, two months of organizing her court. Aelin was so busy these days that she hardly had any time to spend with Aedion, Lysandra and Rowan.
She'd called in every favor owed to her parents and her bloodline but she had yet to publicize that she had been Adarlan's Assasin.
Would her people judge and reject her for that? The slight fear was always there, but Aedion and Rowan, even Lysandra, did not judge, for they have killed and ruined themselves as well as she.
She would always be grateful to any gods who listened that she had been offered friends who were her equals, who would never look at her with fear or disgust in their eyes.
Who would follow her to whatever end.
