Aedion still had to swear the oath to Aelin; Rowan was her first choice, which should mean that Rowan would be the only one but she'd changed the rules: that any of her court who wished to swear the oath would be allowed to.
Besides, he had a feeling that Rowan would like to be free of his oath, then Aedion would be her first to be blood sworn. Ren would probably like to do so as well. Amused, Aedion walked down Aelin's hallway and knocked on her double oak doors.
...
Aelin was in the middle of washing her face when someone knocked on her bedroom door.
It's probably Aedion, she thought. Wiping her face, she went to open the door and saw Aedion leaning against the wall opposite her doors.
"Why, hello," she said. "What is it?"
"What? I can't talk to my cousin without bearing news?" he teased, grinning.
Aelin laughed. "Well I'm the one who usually seeks you out. What do you want to talk about?"
She had a vague suspicion that he wanted to talk about the blood oath.
"The oaths, Ren and I have been talking about it."
Yep, I was right, she thought.
