'She got away!?'

Dave watched as his sister paced back and forth, distress drawing a sickly white mask over her usually calm expression. The woman turned sharply and glared at her brother,

'You LET her get away!'

'It wasn't my choice!'

'You could have stopped her!'

'She disappeared!'

'You should have been there earlier!'

The knight had to bite back his anger which now boiled inside of him, his hands clenched into fists as he stared at his sister. Her purply eyes burnt, the siblings were face to face, so close that the woman's breaths could be heard by her brother.

The tension in the room was thick, even when the door clicked open at the other end.

Rose sighed angrily and looked away, brushing down her dress and facing the servant that stood nervously at the end of the room.

'What is it?' Rose question, anger still singing the edges of her voice. The maid was silent, Dave averted his eyes from his sister and looked at the other woman. It was the same maid who had entered his room the day previous, and she was staring at him.

'Answer me!' the seer snapped, the maid visibly jumping backwards, trembling as she did so.

'The king ... He's ... He's not well'

'I know that!' Rose snapped, her face reddening slightly. The maid stood terrified,

'Hes gotten worse ... T-the heir wishes for you.'

The blonde woman straightened a little, her brother turned his head slightly, noticing Rose's mouth part somewhat.

Though her moves made her seem like she was floating, Rose moved with haste, quickly hurrying down the long room. The blue light from the stained, glass window coated her figure and made her appear to be a ghost, floating silently in the moon light.

The knight looked back at the young maid. The girls dark hair, fair skin and blue eyes seemed familiar to him in a way which he couldn't recognise. She looked over to him, concern in her eyes at the fact it was just the two of them alone again.

'I must follow my mistress' she said before Dave could put in a word, hurrying out of the room.

The bright light of the kingdom shine through the windows of the bedroom. The light stroking the nights face woke him from slumber. He rolled over, but it didn't stop him. Rubbing his eyes, Dave sat up, remembering the night before. The small portion of sleep he did get was plagued with terrors and nightmares, they showed the witch dressed in a green light, complemented with the blood of the innocent she had slaughtered. Only the face was dark, no feature could be seen.

The knight shook his head, forgetting the thoughts and getting to his feet.

After dressing he strode through the castle until he found his sister and the heir to the throne in the large room he and Rose had argued in the night before.

'I am going out today' Dave stated, moving towards them both,

'And where may you be going, knight?' the seer asked in a mocking tone.

'To find out more about this witch, to find evidence of her doing and to capture her'

'You speak confidently, you believe you can do this in a mere day?' The male dressed in blue asked,

'Don't be absurd your highness, he's only just older then a boy, I told you from the start that he still has his head in the clouds'

'If you will your majesty-' Dave cut in, glaring at his sister for the scorn in her words,

'I can not complete the task you have bestowed on me in a simple day, but it will not take me long to hunt this fowl beast and rid you of her terrors.'

The heir looked the knight up and down,

'Very well, I believe you, but only on the friendship we have ... If and when you find this spawn of hell, show no mercy to her, she is deceiving and has no light in her heart.'

The knight took note of this,

'I wish you luck good knight' the heir said, rising to his feet. Dave bowed low, showing his respect for the ruler and turned, leaving the grand hall once again.
