Chapter 7

Emma's POV

I got home from the doctors and went up to talk to Matthew. I knocked on his door and waited a couple seconds before he appeared. "Hey. I'm back from the doctors. Do you wanna hear what they said?" I asked him hesitantly. He nodded slowly. I walked into his room and plopped onto his bed. "Well, the cancer is located in my stomach. So I'll be having a LOT of Severe stomach pains!" I started, "They said its worse than they thought!" I wailed. He sat down next to me. I laid my head on his shoulder. We sat like that for a couple minutes, me sniffling every once in a while. Finally, he picked up my head and looked at me. Holding his eye contact, I cocked my head kinda like a dog. Matthew said, "I know this is hard to go through, but I'm going to be here for you the entire time. So is Mum, Dad, Riley, and so many others! You'll make it through this. And I'll try everything I can to help you. Just stay strong. And let me know if you need anything. Ever. Okay?" I nodded. I was so lucky to have such an awesome brother. Especially at a time like this. And the best thing was I knew what he said was true. "I love you so much Matthew!" I cried, wrapping my arms around his neck. Pulling away, I wiped my tears, "I have to go out and buy some prescription I need. Do you wanna come?" I asked. He shook his head. "I have a project I'm working on. And a couple songs for you too!" He said, winking at the end. Oh! I love his songs. "Will you play your songs for me when I get back?" I asked hopefully. "For you? Of Course!" He replied. I nodded then walked out and down the stairs. I grabbed my keys and headed to the store.
