"What are you doing here!" I had just opened the door too reveal him...to reveal him. Okay! Okay! His name is...Henry. it's just hard to say. Hard to think back... Anyways!
"I need to talk to you..." He replied. I was facing a mortal crisis. I had to get used to him, he and Cayla were probably soon going to be a 'thing'. Although, I still didn't want to face him after...I mean...nevermind... what was I supposed to do...?
"Come on." What was I saying! I stepped aside to let him inside. What was I doing!
He who must not be named... Okay, Henry came inside, (I still shiver at the name) and sat down on the couch. I sat down on the other end.
"So...What did you -uh- want to talk about...?"
"I'm sorry."
"No!" I shouted. "I-sorry, but stop. Stop apologizing."
"You've been ignoring me, all year you haven't glanced at me. Is it because of what happened?"
"Damn right it is!" Oops. "Look, I'm sorry, it was my fault for going with you, for even trusting you."
"Can we just talk about it-"
"No." I stated firmly, "I think it's time that you leave." Understanding, you know who, fine, Henry stood up and headed towards the door. "Wait," he spun around, a hopeful look on his face, "I-I have a friend that-that really likes you..."
"Yeah- uh, Cayla's really nice and all, it's just-"
"You know?" I interrupted.
"Of course, she sort of makes it a bit obvious...I just, I didn't think that you would be okay with...with her and me and, you know..."
"For your information I am perfectly fine with you and Cayla, well you know" I mocked. Then after snapping "Goodbye." I hurried off to my room. Leaning against my door the moment I closed it behind me, I listened...I heard footsteps, then a door open and close, he was gone. I knew that it was now safe to let my tears overwhelm me.•••
I was in the gym locker room again. Let me introduce you to my sworn enemy, meet P.E. I hurry to the shower stalls to change, then sit on the bench to pull on my tennis shoes. I hate listening to the girls around me giggle. 'Is that a new bra!' one of the bitches screams. I can't take the agony!
"Girls! Gym time!" the teacher shouts over all the noise, that is our signal head to the gym for class. Everyone rushes out the small door of the locker room and into the small doors of the gym. Girls are on one half, boys on the other. I look at the white board with the warm ups written on it...Ugh!
After the warm ups we jogged laps, then ''played basketball". We were on our basketball unit and it sucked!
When the torture was over, we were sent back to the locker rooms to change. I pulled on my non-sweaty clothes and spritzed my entire body with a bottle of cheap perfume. On the way to my next class, I passed Cayla.
"Basketball" I stated
"Ugh..." she groaned
"See ya." we said in unison. All through whatever the teacher was babbling on about, I was gazing at the clock, counting away the minutes. Forty minutes until lunch... thirty minutes till... fifteen minutes... five... two... Have you ever heard a more beautiful sound than the school bell signaling the end of class?
I hurried along the hallways to the cafeteria, skipped the line, and settled next to Cayla.
"Hey" I said bluntly
"Hey, guess what...?"
"Um..."
"I'm gonna do it, I'm going to ask Henry out!" She nearly screamed "As long as your okay with that..." Cayla added skeptically. I nodded my head, not trusting myself to speak. Cayla was so brave, how does she do this...? It took me weeks to hint to Henry that I liked him back when we...never mind...
Cayla and I got through the winding, twisting lunch line. We each got our trays and sat down.
"Sarah, really, if you don't want me dating him, its okay... just tell me..." this was my chance, if I was going to stop her I had to do it now. I had to tell her that she couldn't do this. I had to say something. I opened my mouth...
"It's fine with me..." Cayla giggled. What was I saying! It was NOT fine with me!
"Great...thank you so much Sarah. Your the best!" Shit, I couldn't stop her now. My life was over...Like 60 reads! Thank you so much, I love writing this. Hope you enjoyed this chapter...
Well...see ya!
