It's been two years now. No calls, no letters nothing. Annie was getting dressed. Blue tank top, black skirt and red shoes. She pulled out her phone. She was on time. She smiled and she went to her car. She got in started it and went to the graduation. When she pulled up she pulled up next to his car. Nick was standing there waiting. He smiled. She look beautiful to him. He took her hand in his and walked with her to stage. They were valedictorians this year. Annie was happy with Nick. He got into Boston with her. She knows that they are going to be together for a long time. She walked up next to Nick to see her mother and a man in their chairs. Its been two years since she saw him. She was worried about Boston. How would she pay for it. She smiled and waved. He waved like a fool back and smiled. Her mom nodded. Annie knew her mom was proud she didn't have to say it. When they called she walked up and shook her principles hand. She couldn't remember his name because she never went there. She walked off the stage and went to see her dad. She ran to him passed Nick and his mom then went to see hers. She Hugged her dad tightly and smiled. She was sad that he couldn't make it to Cherry's funeral. She missed her and wished she was here but she's not. She hugged her mom and started to speak.
"I better get to that job interview for my money for Boston."
"No. No Annie I will pay for both of your tuitions. Nicks and yours. I will also get you two new clothes and the things you need." Said Cole.
"Thanks dad let me tell Nick." Said Annie running to nicks she whispering everything in his ear and he smiled and nodded. Annie knew his mom didn't like her so she didn't talk much. Annie would be off to Boston in a week. She smiled and held his hand. Then she pulled him with her and showed him her dad. He hugged Cole and smiled. Cole hugged him back and looked at Sarah. Annie shooed them Off. She knew why they needed to go. Expenses. Annie felt bad but her dad said it's fine. I think that he felt bad for not saying a word in two years. So she and Nick went to their favorite diner. She slid into the booth and nick sat on the other side. He ate in silence but Annie knew something was up with nick so she held his hand and asked him why he was acting weird.
"Because two years ago I was worried about getting into college and now I am Annie, I am with you."
"Nick it's fine. I knew you could do it. You are smart funny and you have so many talents in This world I can't count them all." Said Annie smiling.
"See you have superpowers too. Like making me feel better about myself. I love you Analice."
"I love you too Nick. You are my life." Said Annie looking out the window.
"What's the matter Annie? You look unhappy." Said Nick studying Annie's face.
"I don't know if I can leave home. I have always dreamed of it but making it possible is turning out to be impossible for me." Said Annie looking down.
"You will be fine. Boston needs you. What about Rachel?"
"She hasn't called in a while..." Said Annie hearing her phone. She pulled it out and smiled. Just on time she thought. She showed it to Nick and went outside, she loved talking to Rachel. Annie swiped answer and put it to her ear.
"Hello?" Said Annie.
"Annie!!! How are you bestie?!"
"Rachel!! I'm wonderful! Did you graduate?!" Asked Annie with an excited voice.
"Yes I did!!! I also got into my dream college!! Did you and Nick?" Asked Rachel.
"Yes we did!! What's your dream college?" Asked Annie sitting down under the umbrella.
"Boston U. What about you?"
"SAME!!!! I get to see you in a week!! Finally!" Said Annie jumping up and down.
"Yay!!! I miss home soo bad. The big apple isnt the same without everybody I love." Said Rachel.
"Me too. You were there for everything. My dad is back and is paying for my tuition!"
"Good!! My dad says He will pay for my tuition and books but not clothes or extras."
"Oh. Well i get to see my bestie!! Nick will be there too!!" Said annie looking in the window at Nick he was watching her so she smiled and he smiled back.
"Good!! Friends reunion! Ok i've gotta go shopping with Karlie. I'm gonna call next week so we can set details ok girlie?" Asked Rachel.
"Ok bye bestie!! hopefully we will pass each other on campus."
"Hopefully we do." Said rachel hanging up.
Annie walked back in with a big grin. She slid back into the booth and looked at Nick who was looking at her. She told him about Rachel and he was happy. They sat there and talk forever and they had so much fun. They both felt like the past times when Rachel was home still and they would go to their hangout and talk for hours about odds and ins. They talked about songs and books and their favorite teachers. Thier school their dreams for the future everything. Just like they knew each other forever. Annie got out of the seat and told Nick goodbye she was set for home. To sleep and catch up with her dad. She got home an hour later and when she opened the door she saw her mom and dad playing cards. She smiled and went to sit with them. They kept talking about when they were in school. She sat there for at least an hour before they ever looked at her. They kept playing and talking. They finally went to bed and never said anything to Annie. Annie stayed up for a while. Looking at clothes and dorms in Boston. She finally went to bed. She felt better about knowing that she wouldn't be alone and she could be close to Nick maybe. She fell into a deep sleep and woke up at nine thirty. She heard Nick talking to Sarah about school. Annie got up and went to the kitchen for breakfast. She smelt pancakes, sausage and eggs. She was still in her pjs but she didn't care. She sat down on Nick's lap and smiled. He gave her a kiss and started eating a pancake. Annie stole one of his pancakes and smiled. He hugged her from behind. She felt a presence watching them. She saw her dad come sit down and started eating. She watched him. He kept eating a was whispering but only to Sarah. She was wondering why. She got off of Nick's lap and went to get ready. She came out wearing a black and white lines with shorts and sandals. She saw her dad sitting there reading. Annie decided to approach her. She sat down next to him and took his newspaper. He looked at her and smiled.
"Yes doll?" Said Cole.
"Why were you acting weird this morning?"
"You are so grown up. You sit on Nick's lap and kiss him you are my princess anymore." Said Cole with tears in your eye.
"Daddy, I'm your princess and I will always be. I love Nick and he loves me. We love each other. Don't worry about me. I am going to be strong and I will call every night."
"Ok Princess. Ok. Just promise that you will always remember me." Said cole holding Annie's hand.
"I will. I will." Said Annie. With that she got up and went to her hangout with Rachel and Nick. They were best friends. She couldn't wait for Rachel. Rachel has been through a lot but she has been there for her. She sat on her pillow. She looked down and saw something moving, she got up and hid in the corner. She looked over again and saw a little dog. Running around chasing birds. She smiled and left the dog to play. She went home and got her boxes ready to pack. She smiled and thought about it. Her dream was finally coming true. She went downstairs and get a drink of lemonade when she heard a knock. She finished her lemonade and ran to the door. She opened it to see a guy. About her age standing there fiddling with a piece of paper. He looked to see Annie smiling at him and smiled. He held out his hand and started to speak.
"Hello. My name is Derrick Malone. I am looking for an Annie Centos?" Said Derick holding the paper.
"Hey. Yeah you are speaking to me. I'm Annie Centos." Said Annie looking at him.
"Oh hello. I am your cousin. Your dad I was told was my Dad's brother." Said Derrick.
"What?!" Said Annie falling to the couch.
Derrick stepped inside and said goodbye then he walked out and disappear. Annie went to her room and started packing again. She threw her bags and favorite books in a box and fell on the bed. Packing was hard and tiring. She picked up her phone and called Rachel. Rachel answered with the cheery voice Annie loves.
"Hey you!! What's goin on? Rachel said with a cheery and curious voice.
"Nothing, just wanted to talk to you?" Annie said smiling.
"Oh well talk then!!" Rachel said.
"Ok so I was just freaked out. I guess my dad has a brother and I have a cousin."
"WHAT?!" Rachel said screaming.
"Ya heard me. Also, Luke got into Boston. So yeah..." Annie said with a sass.
"Cool! So I gotta go to lunner. Talk to ya later bestie!!" Said Rachel hanging up.
Annie heard her dad and mom come in laughing. She grabbed her bag and her keys and left through her window. She took a joyride for once. She started humming along to her song and kept thinking. My life would be easier if I could actually have time to myself. I always had something in Highschool and now to college. When is it gonna end? I'm tired of no free time. She kept driving along to a little diner. She walked in and ordered her favorite. The diner was called route 99 and was a little 90's diner. She sat the back booth and saw a man with a little girl. She smiled and sighed. The man looked at Annie and smiled.
She stepped up and smiled, and she drew in a breath.
"Hey Jason," She said smiling.
"Oh hey! Annie. You look. Amazing!"
"Thanks. You are Sara... Right sweet?"
