I slammed open my door and sucked in a deep breath, releasing it as I calmly shut the door. I latched the lock just above my head into place, and twisted the lock on the door handle. There, secure. Safe. "Alone." The voice added. "Who are you?" I asked. "You don't need to know that right now. Later, Raven, when you know us better." I sighed and walked up to the kitchen. "Fine. I might as well make dinner. I'm starving." "If you were starving, then you would be dying. Are you dying?" "UGH! You know that that's not... Nevermind. Just... Leave me alone for a bit, okay? Just until I'm done eating dinner." "Fine." I opened up one of the cupboards by the sink and pulled out a pot. I was going to make some spaghetti. I grabbed the noodle box and canned sauce, tossing them onto the counter and filling up the pot with water. "What the... What? Where'd this come from?" "It's a gift, from us to you." "Us?" "Us. There's more than just me. But you asked us to leave you alone, so I'll explain more after you're done eating." I nodded my head. "Okay." I poured the noodles into the boiling water. I glanced over at the 'gift' that they had given me. It was really nice, a black bracelet with a little black and silver skull dangling from one of the several holes peeking out from the sides. I grabbed it and slipped it onto my wrist. It was a perfect fit. "You shouldn't trust us this early on, Raven."

The bracelet squeezed onto my wrist, drawing blood. Bastards.
