Now, in only a matter of minutes, everpony in Ponyville had stepped out from their homes raging with confusion.
A voice hollared from the crowd. "This can't be right!"
"Why hasn't the moon come?!" said another. The voice sounded more mature. Much older than the first one.
"Could something have terrible happen to one of the Princesses??!"
Oh, I hope not. Sunset replied to herself. She stopped listening in to what the panicking ponies were saying and called out to Pinkie. "Pinkie Pie!"
No reply. Sunset spun around to see where the pink pony was at, but she was nowhere to be seen. "Pinkie!" she yelled once more. "Where are-"
"I'm right here!!"
"Huh? I don't-" Boop! Her sentence was cut off by a blurred pony popping in front of her.
"I'm right here!~" smiled the energetic pony.
"Uh- Where did you come from?!" she said with a surprised tone in her voice.
"Over there." she pointed a hoof to the edge of her yard.
"How did you-" she paused. "Nevermind. Come on, we need to see Celestia. If anyone, she knows what's up."
"You mean the sun, right?"
She didn't look at her; she sighed under her breath and then gave her a emotionless look as if to say "Really?".
"Hee hee, she what I did there?" she teased.
"Very funny." she walked passed her. Pinkie giggled at her reaction as she followed along.
×××
The two ponies had gathered their other friends who were also already outside like the rest.
~Sunset's POV~
We now in Cantorlot and were meters away from the Princesses castle. We didn't speak a word the whole time and I had a feeling Pinkie was just edging to say something. And also, how Rarity desperately tried to ignore the fact that her mane was matted with knots and tangles that had most likely got messy from sleeping. But we all knew this wasn't the time.
A flashback went through my mind...
"Are you sure that someone is up to somethin'?" Applejack anxiously asked Twilight. We were all together now- except for Rainbow Dash who was yet to be found.
"I'm positive," she reassured. "I'm sure this is just all a misunderstanding. Maybe Luna got sick after we all left and wasn't able to lower the moon."
"Orrrrr maybe Celestia didn't want the moon to come out." we all turned around to the sudden voice. It was Rainbow Dash. She slowly flapped her wings down and landed on all fours.
"Don't be ridiculous! That wouldn't happen." Twilight replied.
Applejack's voice grew small. "Maybe she's right Twilight."
"Y-yeah..." Fluttershy chimed in with her usual soft voice.
"I'll believe it when I see it. Come on, let's get going. We don't got all day."
"Technically, we kinda do." Rainbow said.
"Hee hee, nice one Dashie~" Pinkie commented. They exchaned looks and did a high five.

Someone tapped my shoulder.
"You coming?" said Applejack. I hadn't realized that I stopped walking.
"Oh, yeah..." I walked along past her and went up to the massive pair of doors. Twilight was already there, and the rest were right behind me.
I thought about how strange it was that there wasn't any guards at the door. Or anywhere...
~Author's POV~
Twilight and Sunset pushes the door open. When they all went inside the doors automatically shut behind them with an echoing pang!
Luckily, no light went away. There were stained. glass windows (as their always been) that had rays of sunlight pouring out. They casted across the flooring making shadows appear behind the light.
Every bright thing, must have a dark side.
Sunset stopped in her tracks. "Who said that?!"
"What?" Twilght said, also stopping.
"I didn't hear anything," spoke Fluttershy.
Rairty agreed with Flutter. "Neither did I."
She shook her head. "Maybe I'm just hearing things."
"Or maybe your going craaazy!" Rainbow teased while rolling her eyes in circles at Sunset.
"What? No I'm no-"
Whoosh!
A flash of golden sparks and light appeared and then faded away within a second to reveal Celestia standing on the other end of the room.
Twilight was the first to speak. "Celestia, thank goodness your here!"
"Uh huh," she responded. She sounded rather monotone. "What do you need?"
"We were just wondering why Luna hasn't risen the moon yet. Did something happen to her?"
"I guess you can say that."
"What do you mean?"
"Nothing really. Would you like to see her?"
Before she could answer, Celestia flared her horn and made Luna appear right next to her.
"Luna, why-" Wait.... Something's off, she paused. She walked up to her for a closer look. Oh no...
"What is it? Didn't you want to see her?" she questioned.
Her relived expression disappeared. "This isn't
is Luna." she spoke seriously.
"Of course it is, why wouldn't be her?"
"Then why isn't she moving?"
A grin carved into her face. "As someone who studies magic, should know why."
"No... You didn't!"
"Did what Twilight?" Applejack asked.
"She put a timespell on her. One that freezes ponies in time."
There was shock in her eyes. "What?"
"Why did you this Celestia? She's your sister," her voice was a bit softer.
"Because I don't need anypony else to rule Equestria. I don't need protection from those pathetic guards."
Twilight and eveyone else couldn't believe what they were hearing.
"No... You don't mean that..." her voice was even smaller.
...maybe Celestia didn't want the moon to come out...
She shook her to block out the thoughts that were itching for her to think about.
"So naïve... Maybe this'll get the gears running through your head."
There was a brief high pitched sound that came bursting in the ponies' eardrums. Suddenly, the colored-stained glass shattered into pieces. Black and crystal blue smoke flooded out from the windows and spiraled around Celestia as she laughed manically.
This kinda reminds me of when Luna had transformed to her true form as Nightmare Moon. Wouldn't you agree?... Oh wait! You weren't even here to see it weren't you? Funny! the voice mocked.
Little by little, it covered her body. It changed her light colored coat to pitch black. Her once colorful mane was shaded to a golden color along with her tail. Pieces of armor- which were also gold colored- went on hooves and they extended up to her kneecaps. They were rigid sharp at the tips just like her newly changed teeth. Lastly, she revealed her eyes to see thag they had changed to a neon red.
"Ahh, much better!"
Twilight backed away a few steps from the Princess's dark aura. This can't be happening... It has to be a dream! she thought.
"What is it Twilight? Cat caught your tounge?"
She didn't say anything. Her bangs covered her eyes...
It's about time it happened. I've been waiting awhile you know. Haha!
"Your behind this aren't you?... Tell me what's going on!!" Sunset wanted to know wanted answers. About everything.
You'll soon find out...
"Like I said before, I don't need anyone else to rule Equestria. And that means you too."
Here it comes!
Sunset knew what was going to happen next. She started to run as fast as she could to her friend.
Celestia form a ball magic from her horn. It was a red color and it was pointed straight at her.
"LOOK OUT!!!" she screamed.
Twilight snapped back to reality and looked up. A beam of magic was racing at her. She braced herself, ready to use her's.
But it was too late.
It shot at her before she could even think. She felt a sudden searing hot feeling flowing through her veins. But then it cooled down to an icy feeling, slowing down her insides and everything around her. She could no longer move. The last thing she heard before her hearing stut down was someone screaming her name.
Remember what I said when you first went inside here? Every bright thing must have a dark side...
~~~~~~~~~~
(That picture at the top os looking kinda redundant now huh? XD)
A/N: Haha, you must really love me now don't ya?Now, before I get a bunch of comments saying "OH MY GOD, SHE KILLED HER!! HOW COULD YOU?!?!" I have four words for you.
Calm. yo. butt. down.
Twilight is not dead. (She's too awesome for that hahahaha.) She's just frozen in time. I'm evil, but not that evil...
...Or am I?
