Chapter Five: Man Like That

Pagkababa ko ng kotse, may naalala ako. Dito nga din pala ako pumunta nung nag-drama ako dahil kay erpats. Walking towards the swing, I saw a picture of two children hugging each other. The little girl wearing pink laced dress and a bow headband seems irritated, while the little boy made a toothy grin at the camera. I must say, it's cute! Looking over at the park, no one's around. I really want to keep it, there's just something about this picture. So I just dropped it inside my bag.

Umupo nako sa duyan. Bago pa ata tong park eh, wala kasing sira ung mga palaruan tas malinis pa. Basta! maganda sya, may Child Spirit sa paligid. WOW? daming alam eh no?

My phone went off , I picked it up. It's John. For god sake, it's John! Pano ko sya kakausapin nang ganito? Feeling ko napakasama ko.

"H-hello?" I started. I feel nerve crushing me down.

There was some huffling sound before he answered, "Chantine, Can we--" Huffling sound again but this time, I can hear people talking. "Can we tal-- Ugh! Can you fucking stop what you're doing?!" My heart stopped beating. It hurts how he said those words, He again raised his voice against me. A teardrop fell through my cheeks, this is my fault. I know. I've never been a good friend.

"I-I'm sorry, J-John." I hung up. Ayokong umiyak ng malakas pero wala namang tao kaya ayos lang. I bangged my head against my knee, It made my pants dump but I don't care. I HATE MY SELF!!!

Inulit ulit ko ang paghampas ko ng ulo ko sa tuhod, Maybe it might clear my mind. Paghampas ko muli sa tuhod, malambot na ang napaglapagan ng noo ko.

I sniffed then stood up then do my Ninja Moves, I looked up--

OH SHOOT! KILL ME NOW! he's still infront of me, I said KILL ME NOW!!!

"Why would I kill you?" He furrowed his brows then deep chuckled.

I can't believe he's here! And that smirk, that smirk really makes me want to flip him up and down! Bakit sya pa?!

"Oh no, same effect." He smiled.

I slightly coughed, "What do you mean same effect?" I furrowed my brows then glared at him, Di padin nagbabago yung leche nyang mukha, NAKAKAINIS PADIN!

"Same effect. Just like what girls do whenever I do this." He crossed his arms tas sumandal sa pole ng duyan,

Huh? Whenever he does what? He really look stupid right now, Is that a smirk or what? Err..

"Whenever what? whenever you lean on a pole?" I asked, I'm not supposed to talk to him but two can play in this game.

He groaned, "Whenever I smile, Duh!!" He rolled his eyes. I laughed and laughed, Did he just said 'Duh'? OH SO GAY!!! Nakatingin lang sya sakin na parang nagtataka kung bakit ako tumatawa,

"You're so gay. You know what? I thought you were smirking, it doesn't even looked like you were smiling. " I rolled my eyes, this jerk! Ang yabang yabang nya feeling nya ang gwapo gwapo nya!

'He is, girl.' SHUT UP!

he chuckled, "Oh really? then where did that blush came from?" I glared at him, I just bit my lip baka sakaling mapigilan ko pa sarili ko--

"ANG KAPAL MO NAMAN BRAD! YANG PISNGI MO KAYA PADUGUIN KO?!" I yelled at him. Nakitingin lang sya habang sinasabi ko yung mga yun, tas unti unting kumunot yung noo nya, Well, Benifits of being a Filipino. I smiled at the thought.

He loudly groaned, "English please?!" Aba? at sya pa manguutos ngayon? Kapal talaga ano po?

"Bahala ka sa buhay mo! May kasalanan ka pa sakin, MAGBABAYAD KA! TANDAAN MO YAN!!!" Kinuha ko na yung bag ko sa damuhan sabay takbo, naririnig ko syang sumisigaw ng kung ano ano,

"Jenny! Catherine! Diane! Anne!" Silence-- tumakbo na ulit ako, Napahinto ako nang sumigaw syang muli,

"MELAUDIE CHANTINE REYES!" Shoot. Pano nya nalaman pangalan ko? Is he my stalker or something? It's freaking me out! Pano kung matagal nya na akong sinusundan? Pano kung killer sya? kidnapper? I heard foot steps. Closer-- closer-- close enough, I threw a punch then BOOGSH!

Ako ang nalaglag. Saya diba? Tanga ko diba? Masyadong napalakas yung pwersa ko eh umilag sya, eto bunga ng katangahan.

He laughed, like really laughed. Yung pang-asar na tawa, ang sarap nyang tanggalan ng vocal chords men! But first, I can already feel the stinging sensation at my ankle, I looked at it--

"OH CRAP! DON'T MOVE!" I gasped when he yelled, It's bleeding-- Bubuhatin na nya dapat ako pero pumiglas ako, ano 'ko? tanga? oo mejo may pagkashunga nga ko pero di naman sobrang tanga para magpabuhat sa di ko kilala,

"Don't touch me! I can drive myself home!"

"Who said I'm bringing you home? You have to be at the hospital! the cut is deep, I can almost see your bones right there--" Dinuduro nya yung paa ko, GANUN BA KALALA?!

"Okay!! Hurry up!!! Here, please use my car. I don't want to leave it here." Inabot ko ung susi. He sighed, Binuhat na nya ko. Nararamdaman kong tumutulo na yung dugo sa paa ko, Pero di naman ganun kasakit.

Inupo nya muna ako sa hood ng kotse ko para mabuksan yung pinto, Inaninag ko naman yung paa ko pero di ko masyadong makita dahil madilim.

Binuhat nya ulit ako, At pinasok sa kotse. Ang awkward nung pagbuhat nya sakin. Di din ako makatingin dahil baka masapak ko pa sya, Sya may kasalan neto eh! Sya may kasalanan! Humanda kang mokong ka, maghihiganti talaga ako.
