Chapter 33- Beth
I heard Kat call. I knew that Shadow was going to come at me. I ran off, causing a huge dust cloud. He attacked with darkness. I used light. "Glow!" I willed myself. Kick, punch, chop. Light ball. Repeat. Nothing worked. I tried faster, with my speed in the mix. Kick,chop,punch,light ball,repeat. Faster and faster. My attacks were slowly starting to get to him! "Just a few more times!" I muttered under my breath. Kick,chop,light ball, punch, repeat. Kick, light ball, punch, chop, repeat. I was ready for my final attack.
"Not yet!" Shadow hissed. He punched me, hard to the head. I was stunned for a second. It looked like Shadow would win. "Beth!" I heard my friends call, frightened. I stood back up. No matter how dizzy I felt, I had to finish this battle. I glowed as bright as I could. I flew up higher had higher. Then, I dived. Straight on to him. I did one last, glowing, extra-strong, karate chop. There was a huge dark burst. Then, Shadow was gone. I fell to the ground exhausted. But, I had done it. I had defeated Shadow. "Yeah!" My friends cheered. "We won!" I dragged myself over to them. "Claire? Can you help me? My head hurts." I said, meekly. She looked over me. Claire gasped. My head was slightly bleeding. Claire tried and tried to heal it. "There's nothing I can do." She said, sadly. I was tired, so tired. I fell asleep, and didn't wake up again.
