Nnedi's p.o.v

"Um ..hello?"
??:"Hey uh Nae is that you?"
I feel like I recognize this voice but that accent covering it.
Me:"um.."
??: "Remember me? Ya boi Lucas. Ya annoying Curly head."
Oh shit it is him-
Lucas:"..you there babygirl?"
I snap out of my thoughts
Me:"yea ,yea I'm here."
I say studdering.
I take a quiet deep breath and start over.
"Hi and yeah I remember you. How did u get my number?"
I managed to say through my nervousness.
Lucas: " One of your homegirls sent it to my bro Dillyn, but forget all that.. it seems like I haven't talked to you in forever.." (Nigga cause u haven't. You ain't never call me)
"I missed you and that sweet ass voice of yours..." He said with a light chuckle after.
I smiled to myself he still so sweet.
I look over and pree Tanaya and Aaliyah staring at me like they know who I'm on the phone with.
They start creepily smiling.
I playfully roll my eyes at them. I might just know who gave up my number to Dillyn
I looked at Tanaya.
Me:"..I missed your voice too and whatever."
Lucas:"Oh so you ain't miss me? damn I see how it is." He said trying to sound offended.
I giggle through the phone.
he wild.
Me: "Well yeah, that too."
Lucas:"Good.. cuz I'm coming back to Cali for a business trip in two days and I wanted to hangout..you know to catch up if that's ok with you ma?
I started to smile,but realizing what I was doing I stopped.Why end up hype? He's going to stay only for a while then leave again.
Me:" yeah um that would be nice."
Lucas: "oh ...coo. so just text me where u staying and I'll come thru and see you."
I nod then shortly realized he couldn't see me.
Dang I'm stupid.
Me:"Yeah sure, that would be fine."
He chuckled a bit through the phone.
Lawdd I cant ev-
Lucas :"well goodnight ma I'll see you in two days"
Me :" Night Lucas." I mumbled.

I put my phone down and Tanaya and Aaliyah start smirking at me wierdly.
Chanel:"ooo who was that making u blush and stuff?. " 😉
I roll my eyes.
Me: " I can't blush I'm brown." Chanel laughs at my quick response.
Chanel: "So who was it??"
I was just about to answer but Tanaya let's out a weird ass screech like ,bish is u aight??
We all look at her and she smiles widely.
She do three much of that she need some whole milk.
"It was Lucas- motha-fucking-coly!!" Tanaya screeched.
" Uhhuhhh I wonder what y'all was talking about I saw yo ass smiling the whole phone convo like you do when you see food girl." Aaliyah said while nodding happily.
"Im dead ,but wait How did he even get your number?"Chanel said.
It got quiet. First time its been this quiet since we got to this house.
I turn to Tanaya and Aaliyah and put on my fakest smile.
" Yeah how did he get my personal number."
I say waiting for them to choke and tell me the truth.
I look at Tanaya and she looks so guilty its not even funny and Aaliyah is looking at her like this bitch did it.
she a professional snitch she ain't even gotta say shit.
"Well um,like,I kinda dmed Dillyn back when he said Lucas wanted your number." Tanaya smiles at me and I give her a stank face in return.
It got silent.
Aaliyah clears her throat
"Whaaa? You Did ..that.I-" I cut Aaliyah off.
"Stop, you can't lie for shit liyah and breaking up yo words ain't helping you either which you do everytime you lie."
Aaliyah gets quiet.
I sigh.
"Well I guess you didn't give up my personal and private information for nothing.He's coming down to Cali for business and is coming over the beach house in two days to catch up or Whatevs."
Aaliyah and Tay's eyeballs almost fall out there sockets. I reach for the new popcorn on the side that Tay put out and start chewing slowly waiting for them to say something.
"Omg!!.. Wait is he bringing Dillyn and Will too!? Tanaya asked with so much enthusiasm.
I shrug.
I have no idea tbh.
"Omggg you should ask them to stay over." Aaliyah said.
"Maybe I'll do just that."  It sounded like a good idea at first..
Tanaya starts to freak out quietly on the couch.
She crazy ,but its kinda cute cause we all know she has a big crush on Dillyn, but What if she low key got a crush on Lucas too maybe,maybe not.
