We sat there under the moonlit sky and the stars where dancing all around us and to their own song. It was chilly outside but the heat between us was so powerful, I almost forgot how cold it was. I would have never imagined that I would be sitting here with Marshall, he was perfect.MARSHALL POV.
I had finally worked up the courage to kiss Fionna. I was terrified and I sleigh the Vampire Queen. This girl gives me the happiest feeling ever, I'm scared I might hurt her so I have treat her like she is a precious jewel and if I drop it and break it I would lose my world. She is my world; I have to make sure she knows that. After a while we finally broke the kiss. "Marshall, I need to ask you something." Fionna says looking up at me. Oh how the moon reflects off of here makes her look like a goddess.
"Fire away." I say looking down at her.
"Do you think Cake would be mad if she found out?" She says with tears welling up in her eyes.
I looked in her eyes; yea I understand she was scared, I mean her best friend, who she has grown up with doesn't like vampires little alone me. I leaned down and kissed her forehead and told her. "Those who were seen dancing were called insane by those who couldn't hear the music. By that I mean, let her be mad we are dancing and we are happy, she doesn't hear the song that our hearts are making, she doesn't see our wonderful waltz." I looked her in the eyes and had my hand on her side when I said this. Her face began to brighten up. All I could do was smile, looking at her she made me smile; I've had feelings for Fionna for a while, but for some reason I've always found it hard for me to tell her how I felt.
"You're right Marshall, thank you." She said looking down trying to hide her face; she's so shy; I will break her from that sooner or later. I looked up at the moon enjoying this moment, because I know something this nice doesn't last forever.
It feels like another hour has passed. Fionna moves to look up at me. "Marshall, I need to go home now." She looked up at me.
"Are you alright?" I was worried; maybe she's mad at me. Man I knew I shouldn't have done it, I'm awful, dang it!
"Yea, I'm just really tired I haven't slept in two days." She yawns shortly after saying it.
"Alright hang on, let me pack everything and I will fly you home." We stood up at the same time; Fionna wobbled a bit and caught herself. "I guess you really are tired, just one more second." I say packing the blanket. I put the plates and candle (the flame is extinguished) into the basket, I looked over at Fionna she was barely able to hold her eyes open, I smiled she's adorable. The last thing I grabbed was my bass, I threw everything so that it was on my back, and I walked over to Fionna I think she fell asleep standing up. I tapped on her shoulder and she jumps.
"I'm not asleep, I'm just resting my eyes." She says fading back out into her sleep. I chuckle. So I picked her up bridal style and flew her to her house.
Since I knew that place by heart it wasn't hard for me to break in without waking Cake or Fionna up. I laid her on her bed and put the cover over her, I stayed there for a while before I realized I was staring at her, she looked so peaceful, I can't believe she didn't pass out sooner it must have been a rough two days for her, I'm going to call Cake tomorrow and tell her to make Fionna stay home for a while and let her recuperate.
I flew out of her house, without waking anyone. It felt like it was about twelve at night. Tonight I think I should see old Gumwad, before the royal council gets here to decide his punishment. I wouldn't have believed that Gumwad would have done something like that if I just heard someone say it, but I was there I saw Fionna throw the punches I saw Gumwad begging her to stop, I saw Cake and BMO tied up, and I saw the computer. Wait the computer what was he typing on that thing anyways. Why did he take Cake and BMO in the first place surely he could have waited for Fionna to comeback. Why did he take them to a shack, he could have took them back to the Candy Kingdom and told the guards that they were there to help him with an experiment.
