Hilary’s POV:

“I’m here!” I call as I walk through the front door.

“Hey sweetheart,” Wesley says softly as he takes me in his arms. All he is wearing is sweatpants and a robe, no shirt. “I missed you so much!” He leans to kiss me but I pull away as soon as our lips touch.

“Wes, you need to shave,” I tell him.

Wesley laughs. “I’ll be right back,” he says. He makes his way back down the hall from which he came and into the bathroom.

Just as Wesley leaves, Keaton walks in. I had put my jacket down on the couch. “Keaton!” I shout as I run up to give him a big bear hug. “I missed you KeaStro!” KeaStro is my little nickname for Keaton because his name is Keaton Stromberg. Clever, right?! I made it up when I was in third grade and it kinda stuck.

Keaton grunts as I ram into him for the hug, but he looks happy to see me. “Hey Hilary,” he says. I’ve always thought it was weird that I’m dating Wesley even though I’m younger than Keaton. Only by a year though, I’m fifteen.

“Can you make me a sandwich please?” I ask.

“How about you make me sandwich,” Keaton suggests.

“No, I’m not going to make you a sandwich!” I say.

“Then why should I make you one?” Keaton asks.

“Because you’re a guy,” I answer. Keaton looks confused. “If you make me a sandwich then it’s just you making me a sandwich. But if I make you a sandwich, then next time, you’ll be like ‘you’re the girl, make me a sandwich!’ And you’ll think that women belong in the kitchen!”

“I don’t sound like that!” Keaton protests. “And I will not!”

            “Yes you will!” I say.

I hear a groan. Drew had just walked in and hears Keaton and me arguing again. “Daddy!” I shout. I call Drew daddy because he acts like one. I guess he acts more like an older brother, but I still call him dad. I jump into Drew’s arms.

“Long time, no see,” Drew says. “But still light as a feather.”

“I weigh like one fifteen,” I say. “I’m pretty sure that’s a little heavier than a feather.”

“You know what I mean,” Drew says, putting me down.

“I shaved,” Wesley says as he walks out of the bathroom.

“Thank you!” I say. Wesley wraps his arms around me and we try that kiss again. Sparks!

“Get a room!” Drew yells. I pull away and smile.

“Keaton, can you put my robe in the closet?” Wesley asks. He takes off his robe and tosses it to Keaton, who doesn’t catch it. Instead, it lands right over his face. “Thanks.”

I look at Wesley and bit my lip. No matter how long I date him, my stomach still hurts when I look at his abs!

Wesley sees me. “Take a picture, it’ll last longer!” He jokes. I blush. “Let’s go to my room and watch some TV.” Wesley puts his bare arm around me and we walk to his room. “What do you want to watch?”

“I don’t care,” I say. “You can choose.”
