Watching the audition was incredible. But not being able to see them for so long was awful. Eventually, they came back. And I don’t mean back from the competition, they just visited. It was Friday, September 21, and the boys were coming back to our hometown. It was also my mom’s birthday. Keaton came to see a football game, but Wesley and Drew didn’t come.

I was super mega excited to see Keaton, but I was also sad that I had to wait till the next day to see Wesley and Drew, when we took them to the airport.

As soon as I walked into the arena, I spotted two of my best friends, Taylor and Stacey. “WE SAW KEATON!” Taylor screamed in my face.

“Cool, where is he?!” I asked.

“He’s sitting on the bleachers!” Taylor fangirled. “I can’t wait to get a picture with him!”

            “He’s just a person,” I said.

“To you, he’s just a person,” Taylor corrected. “You’ve known him for like ever! To everyone else, he’s an incredibly cute famous rock star!”

“Whatever,” I rolled my eyes. “Let’s go talk to him.”

“Talk to him?” Taylor stopped me. “We’re just gonna waltz up and talk to him?”

            “Yeah, why not?” I asked.

“He’s Keaton Stromberg!” Taylor and Stacey yelled in unison.

“Well, you guys can come or stay,” I said. “But I’m gonna go talk to him.” I began to walk away, towards the bleachers, when Taylor and Stacey ran up behind me.

            “Fine,” Stacey said. “We’ll come.”

We were walking in front of the bleachers, and I spotted Keaton with some of his old friends. “Keaton!” I shouted. He turned around and grinned at me. I ran up to him and wrapped my arms around his neck and he gave me the most welcoming hug I’ve ever gotten. “I missed you so much KeaStro!”

“I missed you too!” Keaton said.

“Kiss!” One of Keaton’s friends joked. Keaton decided to play along and give me a big, mushy kiss right on my cheek! I giggled.

            Flashback.

That wasn’t the first time Keaton kissed me. But before, it was on the lips. I was only in fourth grade, and Keaton was in fifth. It was the same year that he gave me the necklace, but a couple months after.

The two of us were on the playground at the school, and I was wearing my locket. Wesley was there too. He was in seventh grade, and he thought that he was cooler and more mature than us. He had dared Keaton to kiss me.

            “Gross!” Keaton made a face.

“What?” I asked. “Are you chicken?!” I started making chicken sounds and flapping my arms like wings.

“I’m not chicken!” Keaton protested. “Come here!” I puckered up, but at the last second, I ducked away, giggling like mad. I dared you to kiss me and ran when you tried. “Hey, that’s not fair!” Keaton came at me again, and this time, I didn’t duck away. Keaton’s lips met mine. I stopped giggling, Keaton stopped yelling, and all would have been perfect if Wesley hadn’t been laughing so hard in the background.

            Back to reality.

“I’m gonna go get some candy from the concession stand,” Keaton said. “Keep my seat warm!”

I smiled and sat down. Taylor and Stacey sat down next to me. “I swear,” Taylor started, "you are the luckiest b**** alive!”

            “Watch your phraseology!” I laughed.

“Sorry!” Taylor apologized. “Just stating the facts. You’ve practically had an arranged marriage to Keaton ‘sexy beast’ Stromberg since you were two.”

“Well when you put it like that,” I said.

Just then, Keaton and his friends came back. “There’s not really enough room for all of us,” He said. “How about you sit on my lap?”

“Alright,” I agreed. “I just remembered, my friends want a picture with you.”

Keaton looked over at Taylor and Stacey, who at first looked startled, but then smiled. “No problem,” Keaton said. I took Taylor’s and Stacey’s cameras and Keaton stood in between the girls and put his arms around them. Stacey was taller than him though. I could see them silently fangirling. They each got a group shot, plus just Taylor and Keaton then Stacey and Keaton. “Don’t you want a picture?” Keaton asked me jokingly.

“I would love one!” I said, pretending to freak out. Keaton and I laughed. Then I sat down on his lap. Taylor glared jealously at me.

“Bro,” One of Keaton’s friends said. “It’s like you were made for each other! Either that or you’re twins.”

“Well we’ve known each other since before we were in preschool,” Keaton said.

“He’s my bestest friend!” I said.

Taylor, Stacey, Keaton, his friends and I spent the rest of the game sitting here. We lost. Of course.
