Calum had just finished writing all the songs on the new album with the boys so he decided we'd go out that night to celebrate. He promised me endless drinks, so I couldn't pass it up. I was dressed up in a skin tight black dress with black heels that almost made me Calum's height.
"Hey, baby, you wanna dance?" He asks, his hand rubbing up and down my side as his other hand led me out on the dance floor.
"Well, I don't have a choice now," I mumble, dancing to Worth It. I was a little tired from not having my daily nap, so I was leaning on Calum for support.
I let out a yawn and decided maybe a drink would help me let loose. "I'm gonna go get a drink," I murmur, reaching into his pocket for his wallet.
I turned around and walked over to the bar, paying for a Mimosa, and sat myself there, not wanting to risk dropping it on the way to the dance floor.
I hummed along to a song that gave me huge throwback feels, Dynamite. I scanned over the crowd, looking for Calum, since I hated being alone in a room of people I didn't know.
I found him, his lips swollen, his face red, and his eyebrows furrowed, staring right back at me while a girl clung to his arm. I pursed my lips, and ran out of the club, not caring if I bumped into people on the way out.
"Maddie! Maddie- could you let me explain, please?" He begs, running after me.
I rolled my eyes, grabbing the car keys from his wallet that I still had. The lights blinked and I ran into the car locking the doors. He banged on the window, "Maddie, just listen, please. That wasn't what it looked like."
As much as I hated him now, I still had love for him in my heart. I rolled down the window, "You have one minute to explain."
He let out a sigh of relief and I narrowed my eyes, "thirty seconds."
"The girl came onto me as soon as you left. I tried to tell her I was taken, that I already had the love of my life and I didn't need anyone else. When she saw you looking, she smashed her lips on mine and I pushed her off as soon as I could, shoving her into some other couple. I swear, Maddie, you're the only one."
I hummed, "Why were you all flushed?"
"My face was red in anger, for the girl thinking she could just shove herself all up on me. I swear, Maddie. It's only you." He said, grabbing my hand through the window, leaving a soft kiss on it.
"Ok," I drawled. "I believe you," I said while watching his eyes light up. "for now, so you better get in the car before I get mad at you again and run you over." I tell him, watching as he ran to the other side.
He hopped in and we sat for a little bit, listening to the radio, "I'm sorry, baby," He cooed, rubbing my cheek.
"It's okay, Cal. I'm already over it; I forgive you." I reply, already putting it in the past. "Now, can we get some Chick-Fil-A? I'm starving."
"Yeah, I'll pay for it," He says, putting on his seatbelt.
"You already were going to, because I still have your wallet." I giggled, backing out of the parking lot.
