I'm Fine

Chapter 7 - Metamorphosis

 Since I had a boyfriend I decided to get fit and healthy . I started eating healthy , got myself into martial arts and I jogged regularly . I shed huge amount of weight . Jordan and I bonds through active fun stuff , biking , hiking , swimming , going to the gym together . I was spending all of my time with him . I became as sexy as fuck . I started to looked like those girls in the magazines . My shoulders got broader ,   my abs started to develop . My body became toned and I slowly began to be a school sensation . I did a total make over for my wardrobe . I got to wear trendy clothes , but not sexy ones . My long ugly skirts are out , my thick glasses became a house thing since I replaced them with contact lenses .

 My hair is still long and curly but not messy anymore . I regularly hit the salon for hair treatments and sometimes I get highlights . Mani and pedis became a weekly routine for me . I felt like caterpillar that went through metamorphosis and became a confidently beautiful butterfly .

 Most of the girls from our school knows Jordan . Most of them have crush on him . I know because I can see how they react whenever they saw him . They squirm and blush whenever he smiles . Sadly he doesn't have that effect on me .

 A lot of things changed but Leila and I still didn't talk to each other . I miss my best friend . There are even times that I dream of me and her and our usual bff routines . She is still popular . It will be hard for anybody to dethrone the prettiest , most popular girl in the whole academy . I even remember hearing 3rd graders dreams to be just like her . 

Leila POV

 It has been a long time since we last spoke . Asia and I that is . I hang out a lot with the other girls at school because I have nothing else to do now . These past few weeks , I've been seeing a lot of changes from my best friend . Yes , she is still my best friend to me . She grew prettier , sexier , hotter and she began wearing clothes right for our age . I miss Asia a lot . How she takes care of me , how we talk and laugh at school stuff . Of course no one at school would know what was going on . They never saw us together anyways . Not as friends .

 My birthday is coming soon and my parents agreed that I can throw a party . I don't know if they will come home for that . I'm used to celebrating everything without them anyways . I had Asia to celebrate with me . But not this time . I felt like it was my fault that I tricked her into doing , you know what to me that night . I don't regret those . I loved I felt and if she just confronted me I will let her know how I am madly in love with her . Even if wouldn't feel the same that's fine , we can remain friends and I wouldn't mind . 

 Days are passing quickly and I can't stand it anymore .  I need to get my head cleared so I can plan for the party . So I went out for a walk . I'm headed to the park when I passed by Lots A Pizza and saw Jordan and Asia eating together . She seemed happy but I see a hint of loneliness in her eyes . Does she miss me too ? 

Jordan POV

 Asia loves pizza so we grabbed a bite at Lots A Pizza during my lunch break ,  my girl drops by Toby's so we can have lunch together everyday . Isn't she sweet ?
 So we were eating pizza and sipping shakes then I noticed she looked spaced out .

"What's wrong baby ? " I asked her wishing to know what's running through her head .



"My best friends birthday is coming up in 2 weeks and I miss her . We had a misunderstanding when we went camping and we haven't talked since Spring break" she explained without hesitations . I like her about that . She speaks her mind freely .



 She already told me about that friend , she never mentioned her name . Asia always says their friendship is that complicated . But all I know is her best friend does not agree with our relationship . I even think they don't talk to each other anymore because of me .



 I see sadness filling her eyes as she thinks about her friends birthday . Then her phone rang .

"Hello?"

Asia POV


"It's me." It was Leila calling .

I stood up immediately and mouthed "one moment" to Jordan as I move away from our table . I felt excited that it was Leila calling .

"Sorry for that . I'm with Jordan . Hi Leila . What's up ?"

"It's gonna be my birthday soon and I'm hoping you could help me plan it out . I want to throw a party and I need you inputs . "

"Sure , Under one condition ."

"Anything "

"I get to take Jordan to the party so can meet my boyfriend".

"Sure thing . I really missed you . "

"Me too . See you soon . Bye. "

 Am I ready to talk to her again ? I missed her so bad . I want to run to her now and give her a big big hug . I totally forgot about Jordan who was by the way looking really nice . He is wearing his uniform but his hair is extra sexy today . No wonder the girls the sees  him squirms when he walks by . I bet they will faint if they see the way he winks at me .

 "Hey love , my lunch break is almost over . " says Jordan .

 I walked towards him and he seems happy to see me smiling . "Who was that ? Anybody I should be jealous of ?" him asking .

"Yeah , she's my love . HAHA . Just kidding . That was my best friend . " then I explained what we talked about over the phone . Jordan is happy for me and can't wait to meet Leila as well .
