"Now that," Draco chuckled, "was an apology."

"The best apology I've ever received," Hermione replied. "But I think I may need another before all's forgiven."

Draco was more than happy to oblige. Once again, their lips met, and Draco felt like his brain was melting into his head. Nothing could possibly feel better than Hermione's lips on his, and Hermione's hands running through his hair except...

He licked her lip asking for entrance, and Hermione opened her mouth, their tongues dancing a tango in their mouths. Draco then put his hand on the small of her back pulling her to him. Losing himself to the wonderous extacy of the kiss, Draco began to pull up at Hermione's shirt.

Emily's cries pulled the pair out of their thoughts only for them to realize that they were both naked. Draco remembered quickly what had happened and pulled his clothes on faster than he ever has. Once dressed, Draco rushed to take care of Emily. It was almost time for dinner, and Draco decided he'd take Emily to sit with him and his friends, as long as Hermione didn't disagree.

Why was he suddenly caring what Granger thought? And why in Hades is he thinking of her as Hermione? Most importantly, why did he feel so happy at the thought of the girl he had tortured throughout their past years at Hogwarts? He knew the answers to those questions; he's known the answers for a very long time now, but especially after the day Bellatrix had tortured Hermione. Draco had wanted nothing more than to kill his aunt then, so that Hermione could be spared the torment she had recieved. He wanted to save her, to take her in his arms and promise to protect her forever, but he couldn't. Now he could, and he planned to be sure the left over Death Eaters didn't touch her.

"I'm sorry, about that," Draco said as he walked back into the common room.

"Don't be," Hermione replied, still breathless.

Draco winked, "You should get dressed. Dinner's in a few minutes."

Blushing, Hermione threw on her clothes, "Sit with me, please. After my argument with Harry, I don't want go be alone."

"I was thinking of introducing Emily to some Slytherins. You're welcome to join us there," Draco smiled. "And can I ask you something?"

"You just did," she giggled. "Go ahead."

"I was wondering if you'd like to go out with me. There's a Hogsmead trip this weekend, and well I was hoping we could go together."

"I thought what just happened was answer enough. Id love to, Draco."

Draco smiled, and took her hand to lead her down to the Great Hall. As they walked, many people stared, but neither of them cared about that as they were too wrapped up in thoughts of each other.

I know, its short, but I want to get to Hermione and her thoughts about Draco.
