The Rake held Scarlet in his arms. Ready to snap her neck at any moment. Everyone stayed still. No body moved, no body breathed. The hate in everyone's eyes, toward this creature that held the baby, burned with an unchain fury. Silence was all anyone heard for what seemed like and endless eternity. The Rake smiled a wicked, twisted smile. He moved his hand over the small child and played with her hair softly.

"What a lovely child you have here." His voice rang out in the silence.

No one spoke, they just watched in horror as the child's eyes began to tear up. The baby began to cry and The Rake bounced her softly, calming the child down.

"What is her name, SlenderMan?" The rake asked.

"Crying Scarlet." He answered.

"She is quite a beauty. It'd be a shame to have to kill her."

"Then don't." A firm female voice echoed.

"Night. It's seems as if you can talk. It sure took you a while to respond." The rake cooed.

"Put. My baby. Down." Night said.

"I'll put her down alright. She'll just sleep in your arms once I'm done with her." The rake glared at Night.

Night glared right back. The rake moved his free hand to Scarlet's neck as if he was going to throddle her right there, but he didn't. He trailed his hand up the side of her pale, purple stained skin. He wiped at her tears and Scarlet looked at her mother and father.

Night let go of Slender's hands and took a step toward the The rake and her child. With every step she took though, the rake took one back. He held the baby close to him, as if it belonged to him.

"Give me my child back." Night urged.

"How about, no." The rake answered her.

Night's face began to twist it's features with consern and worry.

"Night. Stop walking." Slender said quite deadly.

Night stopped walking, even though she wasn't aware that she had been walking. She stood there, watching her baby closely. Everyone was still silent, and still.

"I have a message from Lord Zalgo." The rakes voice rang out once more. "He says...Slender has made a wrong choice. The says that, loving a mortal is ubsered. That it just can't be done, not with your kind Slender. He says that she, and the children must die...and I decided to start with this one." He finished and before anyone could move a single inch, he twisted Scarlet's head around a hundred and eighty degrees.

A small, soft scream came from the child but her passing was quick. The rake dropped the small child's body and he seemed to vanish into the trees. An ear piercing shriek tore through the air and a few of the people there had to cover their ears.

It was the shriek of a heartbroken mother. Everyone silently watched as Night dropped to her knees next to the tiny body. She hugged it and she began crying. Instead of the tears tinted pink, she began crying blood. Pure blood.

She threw her head back and screamed at the sky, as if blaming the world for the tragedy that has fallen upon her shoulders. She looked back down at her child and pushed her hair from the baby's small round face. Before anyone could comfort her, the sky darkened.

The temperature dropped, winds picked up. Night screamed one more time and thunder and lightning called and cracked. A few people jumped with surprise but the rest just stared in silence. Not but just a moment later rain began pouring down.

A heavy rain that whipped the wind around. A few people got up and began to gather around her. Slender was the first and he crouched down by her side. Night laid the baby down and clutched his suit.

All he could do was hold her as she cried. There wasn't anything anyone could do. Rain drenched everyone around. The sky got darker the longer the pain lingered, and the woods got foggy.

"This isn't over." Night whispered.

"What darling?" Slender questioned.

"I will make sure he pays for this."

"Darling, you're blinded by rage, and grief...please think straight."

"I know what I want. I want the rake dead."

Everyone around became unnerved. This is how it started. This is how the battle began. This is how her revenge was ready to bloom. This started with bloodshed, and it won't end without it.
