I suggest listening to Shoot To Thrill by AC DC while reading this chapter. Violence, by the way. More than the other chapters. Just a warning. Hope you like it!

Damian's POV

Everyone was silent. The assassins were even frozen. But it wasn't because we had stopped fighting to look at the door. It's because why we stopped. Something heavy was banging on the door, gunshots in the backgrounds. I  feared it was the assassins guns.

Bang.

Bang.

Bang.

BOOM!!!

The doors flew open, hitting the walls with a BANG! Todd thundered out, shooting like a madman.

"Yeah!" Bat Girl screamed, round house kicking an oblivious assassin in the head, who was too focused on the new distraction. Todd's eyes were more green, a crazed look glistening over them. His hair was sopping wet and dripping green. They dumped him into the Lazarus pit.

"Get over here so I can kick your a**!" Todd growled, glaring at Mother. Mother pulled out her sword, and all hell broke lose. Superman was throwing assassins into walls, Arsenal shooting them between the eyes with Starfire at his side. I wheeled around and pounced on an assassin, catching him by surprise and performing a perfect takedown. The Flash was rounding them up like cattle. Things were going well. We were winning!

"NO!!!" Oracle screeched into the com link, causing everyone to look around in surprise. My eyes caught Todd. He had Talia pinned against the wall, a knife in her chest. He did it! Oh...

Then I saw what Oracle was screaming about. The sword through Todd's stomach.

"An eye for an eye." Todd growled through gritted teeth, pulling away. Mother coughed up blood and slid down the wall. Todd stumbled back and started falling. Arsenal reached out and caught him before he hit the floor.

"We got to get him back!" Starfire yelled. Assassins swarmed Mother, rushing her to the pit. I ran over to Todd and fell to my knees beside him.

"You are keeping both your eyes!" I snapped, grabbing his gun and aiming it at the assassin carrying Mother. If I shot him, Mother may not make it. It was a split second decision. Todd or Mother.

Boom.
