Two days went by really quick. Today is the day of Indy. I am frantically running around my bedroom, gathering last minute clothing and items, trying to get ready all at the same time.
“Okay, I need this, and this, aand this,” I told myself as I snatched my laptop off of my desk, then unplugged my phone to grab the charger and shoved them into my suitcase, sliding my phone into the back pocket of my jeans.
Just as I was about about to zip my suitcases up, my phone vibrated loudly in my pocket. I groaned in annoyance and took it out, unlocking it, seeing that I was still on Instagram from early this morning. I saw I had an orange circle in the corner of my phone.
I clicked on my DMs, seeing Jack had messaged me. “Hey! Just wanted to message you to see what you were doing :P”.
I smiled instantly and bit on my bottom lip, replying with, “Hi, Jack!(: uh, nothing much really. I was actually getting ready for Indy PopCon :P”.
In an instant, he said, “Oh, I’m sorry if I bothered you at the wrong time! D:”.
“Oh, no! It’s fine, really. I’m nearly done anyways(:”.
“Okay good (: thought I bugged ya for a second lol”.
“Nah. Anyway, what’s up? :P”.
“I actually just got off my plane a few minutes ago :P”.
“Oh, cool! :D”. My anxiety was going insane.
“Yeah, I had to leave at, maybe, two in the morning?”.
“Lol, don’t remember anything Jackaboy? XD but that’s rough. My plane doesn’t leave until eight-ish. So I have an hour to get ready”.
“Not a damn thing! But Jesus! That’s pretty early! Well, not for me since I get up at five sometimes or stay up late. But I’ll let you finish getting ready since it’s seven over there in L.A., right?”.
“Yeah! But, I’ll message when we land in Indianapolis, okay?”.
“Alrighty! Byyye! :D” and I clicked out of our conversation on Instagram and finished up packing, getting ready too. My heart was racing in my chest, my hands were shaking and clammy, and I was possibly having an anxiety attack from this trip. I mean, I am meeting my heroes today.
Alright, let’s get this show on the road, I thought and picked up my bags, heading for my door, and straight for my car.
