Like every year, all the gods were up in Olympus. With our families. New Years Eve, about 45 minutes to midnight.

Hades and Persephone weren't here.

And nobody seemed dazed by it.

Aside one person. And me.

"Wait." Ares realized this not long after I did. "Where's Hades and Persephone?"

"Times Square." Artemis answered. "Apollo is, too."

"Okay, I understand Apollo. He likes partying." I said. "Why on earth is Hades there?"

Aphrodite just looks at me.

"How often do you talk to Percy?" She asks.

"Not that often..." This confused me. "Why?"

"Nico's getting married tonight." Demeter explained.

"How does that have to do with his kid?" Ares questions my question. "Any of them? At all?"

My phone starts ringing. Sally.

I walk into a quiet room, answering.

"Hey." I answer the phone, it was loud wherever she was. "What's up?"

"Where are you?" Sally's voice came over. "You were supposed to be here an hour ago."

"Where?" I asked, clueless to what she was speaking of. "And for what?"

"Did you ever look at that card I gave you in August?" She asks.

"No, I never got to." I tell her. "I put it down, Triton threw it away. Why?"

"That was the wedding invitation." My ex told me.

"Who's getting married?" I asked. "And when did they get engaged, because I never heard of this."

"Nico and Percy." She told me. "You have 15 minutes to get here. Didn't you talk to him or something the day you stopped by?"

That's why Triton threw it away. He barely knows Percy. But he hates him.

I grabbed my coat and headed outside. Thank gods I dressed nice for the party.

"Yeah, I did, not for long, though." I tell her, getting in my car and driving the shortest route I knew. "He had plans with Tyson like 5 minutes after I called and he never called back. I called once, he never answered. He had said there was something he needed to tell me but... I thought it was something about Tyson or college or whatever. Not that. I didn't even know they ever dated. When did they engaged?"

"A couple days before Percy's birthday." Sally answers. "The 16th, I think. It was their two year anniversary. They went out to dinner and Percy proposed. I thought you knew. He said you offered to pay the meal that night."

"Yeah, I did." I agreed on that. "I knew he was dating somebody. He never said who. He never mentioned proposing either. Or a boy. He just said being they had gotten into college he wanted to take them out to a nice place, but he couldn't afford it. It was expensive, so I told him I'd pay for if for his birthday and maybe like something small. I gave him my card and he gave it to Tyson when Tyson showed up the next day so I could get it back. Tyson never told me either. He said he'd be at some party or whatever for New Years but... Yeah. This is a lot to take in at once. I mean, its good. Like... That's awesome. But it would have been great if I knew this a week ago at least."

I have never been so nervous in my life.

It was currently 11:15 PM. 45 minutes from now I'll be married.

Oh my gods.

It would be live on air. It wasn't going to be at first, but a singer got sick and they just moved the stage. Same size and everything. Just different location. This one directly under the ball. We were both backstage. Just in different areas. Neither of us allowed to leave our room. My dad and Persephone were in here a little bit ago. We talked for like 10 minutes or so before they left. The place was all set up and ready outside.

I sat down, trying to calm myself down and I closed my eyes. This is the night I have been waiting for, for years. I can do this. And I will.

"Oh, Nico. Guardati. Il suo naturale essere nervoso, tutti sono." (Oh, Nico. Look at you. Its natural to be nervous, everyone is.)

"Sì, beh ..." I replied to my mother. (Yeah, well...)

And then I realized.

"Mamma? Bianca?"

I looked up and behind me to find my mother and my older sister. Who was 19, like she would be. My mother was about 35. So she could pass as our mother. Which was about the age she was when she died. I was like 4 when she died. Turning 5 or something.

"Hey, little bro." Bianca said. "Miss me?"

You're damn fucking right.

Bianca knew I was gay. She was the first person to ever question it, really. To ever ask me if I ever liked boys. Which I had. I told her yeah, I'm 11. Its bound to happen. And she asked if I've ever had a crush on a girl and I haven't and maybe 6 months later, not long before Percy and them found us, I discovered the concept and term of gay and a few days later I told Bianca and she laughed and told me she already knew. She's knows since I was little. I imagine she told Mom in the Underworld.

We talked for a few minutes and they both make a comment, and then asked what was going on tonight. They were just pulled out not long ago. They weren't told why, just went with Dad and Persephone here. And Hazel peeked her head in and I noticed Dad right outside. Hazel wondering if this was a good time to come in. So I told Bianca and my mom to ask Dad. He'd tell them. Hopefully. Otherwise they are going to be really confused at 11:30 when they go to sit down and a wedding ceremony starts and I'm walking down the aisle.

Nico's getting married.

Tonight.

In like 15 minutes.

And then I was put with the real shocker.

He's marrying Percy.

I mean, it was in a way obvious Nico liked him when we first met Percy, Thalia, Grover, and Annabeth. For one, he was a lot more talkative around him, because he's a pretty shy kid, and he was constantly glancing over at him and small things like that, which makes it obvious. The little we talked after I died he insisted he hated the guy. Every time. Until maybe... Summer of 2010. After the war. I knew they had dared. It was the last time we talked. He had seemed pretty happy. Which he always was at least when I saw him. And I didn't know he dated Percy. I knew he dated somebody. But he told me he was in a relationship. He was happy so.

I guess that was Percy. Which Percy is a really nice guy. He's mute, which makes things difficult at times. But that's why they have sign language. For the deaf and mute.

Of course Mom asked if I knew the guy after Poseidon came in, panting, after he ran 10 miles, sprinting, so he wouldn't be late.

"Yeah, I know the guy." I told Mom. "He's a nice guy. Guaranteed he's mute. He's older than Nico, but not by a lot. He's my age I think. Him and Nico are like 6 months apart or something. He's one of the demigods that brought Nico and me to camp in the first place. Kind of funny. Nico insisted he hated the guy for years."

"Its all denial." My mom agreed and I went to go see Percy, Mom got to meet him, turns out he's not mute anymore, and a few minutes after that we got in our seats. The piano starting to play as the wedding begun.
