(Y/n)'s POV

~The next day~

I put down the book that I was reading. I pulled on a pair of ripped jeans and a gothic shirt. I tied my hair up in a side ponytail and put on some make up. I went downstairs to get a glass of blood.

"Hey (Y/n)," Saee greeted.
"Hey."
"I was wondering if we could go shopping today," Rebecca said.
"Yeah sure." We went outside. I decided that we would walk there.
"Aww, I can't be bothered to," Saee complained.
"I heard that Jacob is gonna be there."
"Oh, you know what? I actually don't mind walking there." I laughed. About half an hour later, we arrived.
"Hey guys, want to go get some takoyaki?"
"You sure are in love with them," Sasha said. I just smiled. They followed me to the takoyaki stand.
"Four small boxes of takoyaki please."
"Coming right up." A few minutes later, we got our takoyaki and sat down.
"So, where's Jacob?" Saee asked.
"Oh, um, about that...I kinda made that up so that you could stop complaining and just walk there, sorry."
"*sigh* It's okay." I finished all my takoyaki (about 6) when they were all still on their 3rd one.
"Truth or dare?"
"Um...truth," Sasha replied.
"Would you rather travel to your dream destination or meet the love of your life?"
"That's hard...I guess I would choose the second one since I'm happy just living with you."
"Really? Thanks."
"Come on guys, let's go shopping," exclaimed Rebecca.

We went to get our hair done. Rebecca got blue highlights in her brown hair. Sasha just got her dark blonde hair cut a tiny bit shorter. Saee did her dark brown hair ombré - from black to blonde. I just got my dark brown hair moisturised and somehow looking better (if there's such a thing as that). After that, I was dragged by Saee to go clothes shopping.

"Ohhh, you'll get this, and this, and that," Saee said while handing me a bunch of clothes.
"You guys can go and get your own things."
"Oh, okay," Rebecca replied. I went to go pay for my clothes. They came back a few minutes later with a few bags.
"Are you ready to go now?"
"Yeah," Sasha replied. As we were walking out, I bumped into someone.
"I'm sorry."
"I'm glad I found you." It was Roberto.
"You were looking for me?"
"Yeah, I was wondering if you could come over." I looked at my friends. They took my bags.
"Go ahead," Sasha said. I flashed them a thankful smile before I went with Roberto.

~At his kingdom~

We were walking in the palace gardens. Grey suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

"How did you get in here?!"
"It's fine. I don't mind having him come along," Roberto exclaimed.

I smiled. We kept wondering around until we came across a beautiful woman. I thought I saw Roberto's face sadden but when I looked back at him, he was smiling.

"(Y/n), this is...my fiancé," Roberto informed. His fiancé?!
"Nice to meet you, I'm (Y/n)."
"Nice to meet you too, I'm Alexa."
"Please excuse me," Roberto said before leaving.
"Look at yourself, you look so bad and what's with that gothic look? Ha, I only want to marry the crown prince to get the power. Then I'm gonna get plastic surgery so that I can marry another prince. I don't understand why he has time to talk to someone like you," Alexa exclaimed.
"I uh..." I was at a loss for words. Did Roberto even know about this?!
"Was what you just said true?" Roberto had heard it all.
"Of course not, it was just a silly little joke," she replied but it didn't sound convincing. Roberto looked somewhat...mad.
"Oh there you are, it's time for your speech," Alberto said. We followed him to the grand hall.
"How do you find your fiancé, Alexa?" a reporter asked Roberto. What was he going to say?
"I have absolutely no interest in marrying a woman like her..." He told everyone what she just said.
"And besides, how could you expect me to marry someone when (Y/n) has already stolen my heart? The wedding is off," he continued. He walked away and took me with him.

~In the garden~

"I'm sorry, I should have told you," he said.
"It's fine." Then there was an awkward silence. He got down on one knee and took out a (favourite gemstone) ring.
"I've loved you ever since I first laid my eyes on you. Will you marry me?" Tears welled up in my eyes.
"Yes!"
