JACK'S POV
I stood infront of the open door breathing heavily. I stared at her savoring every inch of her until I reached her eyes, those beautiful emerald eyes that were filled with surprise and shock. I straightened myself and making my way to her as she stood up cautiously . I stopped infront of her and caressed her cheek, feeling my unshed tears start to sting my eyes, I blinked them away quickly, and asked something that has been eating me alive, "w-why?" I couldn't even mask the hurt and broken sound that laced my voice. "I didn't want you to get hurt. " was her smart answer, I abruptly dropped my hand from her cheeck to my side, I looked at her in anger and heartbreak "You seriously think that you leaving me would help avoid getting me hurt?! Ha!" I shook my head vigorously "I have died a thousand times when you were away, and each time was more painful than the other." I dropped my head to the floor hiding the stray tear that left my eye. Then I felt her warm arms engulf me a bone cracking hug, while I finally broke out in full-on-sobs with her. I pulled back slightly to look at her eyes once more and whispered, "we'll get through this together. " her eyes filled with tears again and her warm breath hit my cold face making me shudder , "I'm sorry for leaving you, I-I just didn't want you to get hurt, I was afraid. " she sobbed. I wiped her tears with my thumb and looked at her with complete determination and adoration and said," I promise you that we'll get through this even if it is the last thing I do." To say I was shocked when she kissed with full force would be an understatement , it took me a moment to fully comprehend what was going on, and I kissed her back with the same intensity and passion maybe even more. We broke away breathless and together with mingled breaths " I love you" before going in for another kiss, to a place where it was only us , where everything was okay, and where we were just happy.
