We all sat down in a round table, eating slowly. We always have conversation everytime we eat. I always try to keep calm about the conversation I can't stand talking, but sometimes I lose it, and find a way to get out of it.

"Erudite is still on us, making up rumors that are as the people say, slightly believable." My dad stated, feeling disappointed.

I wondered at times, why do they keep their attention towards us. Attention, that is not appreciative, but rude and humiliating.

"Why do they do that?" I asked. Dad looked at both of us Caleb and spoke up.

"They accused Marcus Eaton, of abusing his son, that's why the boy defacted, surprisingly in Erudite."

"Is that true?"

"No, of course it's not. Marcus wouldn't do that." He said.

"And what if he really did? I supposed they even kill him." They all looked at me, shocked I supposed.

Dad dropped the fork, and I continued to eat. My hands were shaking a bit, because of what I just said. I'm just trying to say my opinion towards it, but maybe it was a bit rude of me.

"Watch your words, Tris." Dad warned, and picked up the fork, and eat again. I nodded.

After the dinner, Caleb and I cleaned the dishes. I cleaned the table we've eaten at and arranged the chairs.

Mom and dad went to the kitchen, and we both looked out. Dad motioned us to lean in to him and we did. He breathed heavily and started to speak up.

"Caleb, Tris. Whatever you choose, we're here, always for both of yo-" he wasn't able to finish his words as he leaned on us for a hug, so did mom.

"Just, choose the path you think is right. You must be responsible on your own choices." Mom said, then they both walked out.

"Tris." I looked up to him.

"You have to think of the family." I looked down.

"But you also have to think of yourself." He added. I smiled and nodded. He caress my back, then walked out, leaving me alone in the kitchen.

We all walked towards the headquearters where we are going to choose. To choose a faction that determines who we are, from the Aptitude Test we just took yesterday, and I got Divergent.

Once we entered inside, people were talking indistinctly. There in the stage were the five bowls, representing our five factions.

My glance went on to the woman, coming down from the stairs (a/n: I don't know if that's stairs or something lol). She was the same woman I saw yesterday when I took my test. I guess she was an Erudite, obviously by the blue clothes.

I continued walking, following my parents to the blue lady's area. They stopped and she smiled at us. I studied her features, carefully.

"Andrew, Natalie." She greeted.

"How was Marcus doing?" She asked.

"Still, covering up the rumors." Dad replied.

"I hope that the one who made that rumors will be fired up." She said.

"I think we all know who it is." Mom replied abruptly. She just smiled, knowing that she's one of those who made it.

"If that's from Erudite, I promise I'll find out who. And by the way, I never knew your children will be choosing today. Hi, I'm Jeanine Matthews." She stick out her hand for Caleb to shake.

"Caleb." He replied.

"And you are?" She asked, pointing out me. I hesitated to reply.

"She's Tris." Caleb said.

"I hope you chose wisely."

"That isn't supposed to be a choice." I interrupted.

"We supposed to follow the test." I added.

"It's not just about that." she replied.

"But you didn't really want that." Caleb elbowed me, bewaring me of speaking in that kind of tone.

"I want you to choose who you think you truly are. It's about knowing yourself, not just trusting on the test." She stated.
