Chapter 5- The Movie

(Maya's POV)

He put his hands on my shoulders, I closed my eyes, and as soon as I leaned in to kiss Lucas, Riley sprayed me right in the face.
" Sorry to interrupt you two, but your Mom wants you inside," Riley told me.
I looked over and saw my mom looking out the front door. I think she saw me almost kiss Lucas because she had a glass in her hand meaning she had been standing there for a while and she was staring out into space probably thinking about what had happened. I got up went over to my Mom. She looked stunned.
" Sorry Lovebirds, but I need you to come inside," Katy said as she looked at Lucas and I. Then, proceeded to look at Riley and Cameron.
" Why?" I asked it asked " It's only 6:30."
" Yeah, Maya it's 6:30 meaning it is almost dark and 70 degrees. Your friends don't have to leave yet, you just have to come inside."
" Okay. Do you guys want to play a board game?"
" Who plays board games these days." My brother told me.
    " Good point."
    " What do you wanna do?"
    " We could watch a movie, 'I told Riley
    " Like what?"
    " Did you guys see The Good Dinosaur?" Riley asked me.
    " No, but we can't watch it because it's not on DVD yet," I told Riley.
    " It's on the internet," Cameron said."
    " Really?"
    " Yeah, you can find anything on the internet."
    " But, isn't that illegal?" Lucas the Good asked Cameron.
    " Yeah, but what are they gonna do? Put us in jail for watching a movie."
    I laughed at the comment.
    " I will hook my phone up to the Apple TV." I told him.
    " It won't work," Cameron said starting up the laptop.
    " Why not?"
    " To big of a file. It won't play over airplay," Cameron said.
    " How do you know?" Riley asked my brother.
    " I tried to watch. Movie over it and it didn't work," Cameron said.
    " Well, someones a nerd," Riley told him.
    " Yeah, and I'm plugging in a high tech HDMI cable into the TV and laptop," Cameron said sarcastically while they gazed into each others eyes and smiled."
    " What does it do?" Riley said dreamily and put her head on Cameron's shoulder.
    " It's a cable to transfer video and audio."
    She took the HDMI cable from his hand and walked to the back of the TV to plug in it in. She couldn't find where to put it.
    " Here, let me help you ."
    Cameron took Riley's hand with the cable in it and they plugged to the tv.
    I whispered to Lucas to lighten the mood, " I never knew plugging in a TV could be romantic," He just rolled his eyes. Riley and Cameron starred at each other until Cameron realized what was on the screen; it was Riley's Instagram. He blushed and closed the window. Riley just rolled her eyes. I stood up and asked,
    " Who wants popcorn?" I asked.
    " Me!" Everyone said simultaneously. I got up and went to the microwave. Lucas followed me.
