Today was a pretty chilly day, not the best day to be at school. Though it's not like we have a choice, even if we are sick it gives us no excuse to stay home. I'm telling you, teachers are purposely making us come to school so we can have an educationally fun time sharing the flu germs with each other. Really fun alright, especially when your sickness lasts 'till Christmas break.
I sat on the second floor, second row, and second pair of table in the second school on this street called "Micilainias private school." Not to mention I'm on my second period of math. Did I ever tell you that I HATE the number two with my life? Yeah well, now you know. I really don't like this school either, it's strict, and not to mention boring. Luckily I'm in grade nine now, last year to go, then I'm in a way better school that doesn't have itchy school uniforms.
Ms. Jenskins is my math teacher and he was teaching us algebra today, or is it something to do with circles? I never really understood any of it anyway, why was it called pi for 3.14? One's a number and one's a letter. Same with finding the x in algebra. What in the world do letters have to do with numbers? See I would've understand if I actually paid attention in class, but I really can't, just how much I try. Last year we figured out that I had a case of dyslexia. Well isn't that just my luck? At least that explained why numbers and words always dance around my page and the blackboard. I once told my friends that we could take ballet classes from our worksheets since they are always dancing, well look who was made a fool out of then.
While I was trying my best to write my notes (which by the way looked like a mess) my good friend Rachel tapped me on the shoulder from behind. She obviously wanted to show me something. So I turned my head around and saw the small note she held in her hand.
At the perfect timing Ms. Jenskins saw me holding the note, "aha Lacey dear, you see, that's two rules you have just disobeyed," she sneered, "one being turning around, and the other being passing notes in class. Now may I see it?"
I had no clue what was in the note. But considering it was Rachel who sent me this note, I figured it was bad news that the teacher was going to read it. Rachel on the other hand was slumped down on her chair, I could tell she was trying her best to disappear into thin air.
The teacher flipped the note open and read it word for word slowly, "this is so boring, why is Ms. Jellyskins so bad at teaching? I bet she's also bad with guys, no wonder she's still a Ms and not a Mrs."
By the end of the note, me, Rachel's, and the teachers faces were plump red.
"Thank you Lacey for sharing your thoughts, we shall have a discussion after class about why I really am single," the teacher scowled.
I would explain what happened later, but it was quite a bore really. Listening to a teacher giving you a speech about her whole life story and how bad you've been in class really doesn't interest me. So instead I started bringing my thoughts back to the deaths of the many kids that happened. That subject hasn't left my mind since, well, forever!
When I came outside I found Rachel(who by the way, wasn't in trouble), Logan, Wilson, and Anastasia standing outside talking about Halloween. Well at least they had waited for me.
"Lacey you're back finally, how was the 'discussion'?" Rachel asked.
Rachel had what she called "poop brown hair" till her shoulders with a lot of layers at the bottom. She also had two strips of red in her hair. And she was a couple inches taller then me (but then again, everyone is.) I guess we found each other in grade three when she got in trouble for messing up the girls bathroom. And I was also taken into blame, even though I never use public bathrooms. In the end we became friends when she apologized for giving me half the blame. But hey, she apologized and became my friend when I was a complete loner, so I wasn't the one to complain.
