The next afternoon, Thomas had gone about his daily routine while Lolita spent time with Gabriella in the hospital. Her doctor said she would only remain in observation for a few more days before she could be allowed to return home. The results of the test they ran on her concluded that she was only stressed, and that it had only been made worse by the the fact that she hadn't been eating properly in the last few days. This made both Thomas and Lolita feel guilty because they knew she was probably stressed and upset at the fact that they weren't getting along.
Both had already agreed to stop their arguing, but now they had a stronger reason to do it. They both loved Gabriella and wanted her to be okay.
When Thomas returned from practice at the club, he was relieved to see Erik was not there, making out with Lolita on the living room couch just as he found them the other day. He remembered she had told him that Erik would be unable to visit her on weekdays because of his training with Borussia Dortmund and Thomas smiled to himself. At least he wouldn't find himself becoming upset each day upon seeing them together, flaunting their relationship in his face.
He quickly dropped his belongings on the floor of his bedroom, which he was currently sleeping in by himself, and hurried for the front door once again. He wanted to see Gabriella, he had been thinking about her all day. But Lolita had also been on his mind. He didn't doubt that she was going to make an effort to get along with him, for her mother's sake, but he was only slightly worried that she might say some things about him to Gabriella.
As he reached the door, he saw Genavee walking into the living room. She had been accepted and welcomed into their home as though she were their own daughter, and Thomas almost felt bad that he was unintentionally leaving her out of the loop. She was part of the family now, and he appreciated how great of an almost daughter she was to him and Gabriella. He turned in her direction and walked towards her just as she was sitting on the couch, phone in hand, and a sigh escaping her lips. From the moment she arrived in the house, he and Gabriella had provided her with everything and let her know that she didn't have to leave their home as long as she wasn't ready.
"How was your day, Gena?" He began sheepishly. He had never been too great with small talk.
She looked up at him with a polite smile. "It was very pleasant. But I miss Lolita and Gabriella. How is she?" The blonde asked him. She knew next to nothing about Gabriella's health, and it worried her. But she didn't want to pry into the family's business if they didn't want her to know. She was only a friend of the family, as much as they wanted to consider her family.
A smile quickly formed on Thomas' lips when he gave Gena the good news. "Her doctor said she is doing much better. She was just stressed and very tired, but she'll be back at the ranch in no time. I'm on my way to visit her right now. Do you want to go with me?" He offered.
Gena's blue eyes brightened. "Of course. I miss her. She's like the mum I never had."
When she said that, looking away from him, and with a hint of sadness in her voice, Thomas came to the realization that he didn't know anything about Genavee. All he knew for certain was that she and Lolita were friends, and he still thought there was something strange about their friendship. Sometimes, he thought they acted as though they had just met , especially when Gena first moved into the house. Thomas finally dismissed the thought when he remembered he had other things to think about.
He led the way out to his car and she followed him. Gena was starting to feel more and more like they were her family.

They arrived at the hospital within a half hour, and were allowed in the room with Lolita and Gabriella because her condition had gotten much better after her few days at the hospital. Gena went to hug Lolita, who was closest to her, first and then went to Gabriella who was very happy to see the girl she already considered like a second daughter to her. "I'm so glad you could come visit me, Gen." She said happily, rubbing her back through the hug. Thomas followed behind Gen and hugged both Gabriella and Lolita as well.
